Challenge Mallorca has been postponed to May, due to tighter restrictions in the island. Think many more will suffer from the worsening of the pandemic in Europe and perhaps let’s even see if we get to have any actual races before March. |

I doubt that we will have a lot of races until March, and even then, with high restrictions.
I think that the season will truly start in March.

Tour de Pologne 2020 (you know, with the dangerous finish) wins the polish sport event of the year award.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Think it was a Ski-jumping event and nothing else on the run, actually. But nevertheless it’s a good joke of an award. |

Guess there wasn't much happening in Poland last year Sporting event of the year leaves competitor in a coma
To be fair, by that logic Donald Trump was President of the year last year

I didn't find an English page yet, but seems Cambodia cycling academy (Rebellin's new team) has some internal scandals regarding an intimidation event against a rider from the 2020 team. Also the choice to have a Cambodian pedigree is alleged as a way to avoid french tax regime...

Haven't many teams done this in the past, but under a Swiss license etc? I believe Astana, did this?
Edit: I've been looking and seems less than I remember. Could be more of a thing at CT level though.

La Pomme Marseille rode with a Latvian license in 2011, I think. And I also believe CSF/Colnago did the same but with an Irish license. It has become less frequent nowadays, at least in my perception.
EDIT: I checked La Pomme Marseille’s case and the French cycling federation didn’t grant them a license due to financial reasons, so they associated with the Latvian federation. |

I think the best example is Amore & Vita, an Italian team which during the last 15 years was Polish, American, Ukrainian, Albanian and now Latvian.

While we wait for the (hopefully soon) official start of the season, why not follow the adventures of father Jose and son Jeison at Vuelta al Tachira in Venezuela? Both Rujanos will be teammates in quite a unique event in cycling.

What is wrong with Sunweb. Why they can keep their star raiders happy and motivated with them? Dumoulin, Matthews, Hirchi |

They seem to have a very limited budget and many of the riders seem to be on low wages compared to what other teams can afford. As the wages are so low, if a big team wants one of their riders they can afford to simply pay Sunweb to buy them out of their contract.

Voting ended, now worked on and not visible right now.
News wise couple days ago already but not mentioned. The Bora training ride was hot by a driver. Most being without injury while mainly Schillinger and Kelderman need to rest for a while.
Shouldn't impact his Tour leadership but clearly a bad start to the year for them. |
