What should get your hopes up for the new U25 races is that none of those 71 riders ahead are under 25!

Still waiting for 5 riders to send in their calendars. Please try to have them in soon. Will need a couple of days after all the calendars are in to get the season started.

Alunderis will immediately spring into action with the TDU and follow it up with his most important race of the season. Will we ride in our usual teams in U25 races?

Yes you will.
There is a small twist though which I wanted to announce before the action got underway. But I guess I can say it now since this topic been brought up. You might have noticed that most teams do not have enough riders to fill a 7 rider startlist for the U25 races. In such cases, U25 FAs in my master DB from the same country/focus region as the teams in need will be used to fill in the teams. None of the selected riders will have any stat greater than 74.

Game Setup and Race Rules It's time to get the season started. The following are the game-play rules:
- All teams will have seven riders start each race except for Grand Tours where eight riders will start.
- All races picked by at least one custom rider will be raced in 3D mode. All other races will be simulated (all races have been selected by at least one rider this time).
- If all custom riders retire/miss time limit in a stage race before the last stage, the remaining stages will be simulated.
- I will start each race with Adria Mobil, who will act as the control team. They will not have any involvement in the outcome of any race.
- Important race events involving the custom riders will be included in the race/stage report as far as possible.
- For teams unable to field a seven rider team for U25 races, riders from the age group not assigned to any team in RTG, but part of the master DB will be used to fill up the startlist. Riders used for a particular team will be from the country/focus region of that team as far as possible.
- Race previews will be posted in the Teams, Riders and Races thread. This is also the discussion thread for the same.
- Stage and Race results will be posted in the Calendar and Results thread.
Stay tuned for the preview of the Tour Down Under, the first race of the season, to be posted tomorrow because the New Year seems like the best time to start a new season!
Cheers and All the Best to everyone playing

First post in this thread this year
We are on the verge of the Vuelta, which means that the season is coming to an end. There are a few things which I thought to take opinions on for the late season and beyond.
World Championships
The World Champs will be changed from U22 to U23 this year because there are only 31 U22 riders contracted. Somehow the number has greatly reduced this season.
As decided pre-season, the World Championships TT will be held in the Chrono des Nations course. I was thinking of moving the World Champs to a country based hosting from this season, so am looking for two good profiles for the Hi/Mo and Sp/Co races. Your suggestions are welcome for these. Please pick from French stages, doesn't need to be previous WC stages or even classics.
Changes for Next Season
I have already started working on the DB and other stuff for the 2021 season. I was waiting for the Daily DB to come out. Must take time out here to congratulate the Daily DB team on another incredible DB and associated files.
An early update for next season is that there will be some small changes regarding the Growth Potential (GP) of riders which will be announced at the start of next season.
I think the calendar we had for this season is perfect and doesn't need further changes next season. We've had some changes every year so far, but I'm inclined to stick to this one going ahead.
Having said all this, if you have any suggestions for the new season, calendar included, please post them here and I will try to incorporate them if feasible. Any and all suggestions to make the game better is welcome

How about the Paris-Roubaix Espoirs course for the worlds - or maybe too hard?
Agree on the calendar.
One suggestion on development = when you tier riders could you rank them against all prior riders after the same number of seasons. Only two riders in my year so one will always lose and one will always win. But if you looked how they compared to the first group it would give a fairer comparison (although with the U25 races now it is a little distorted but don't think that is a big deal since RTG riders aren't that dominant in those).

I am keeping an eye more closely on this thread now because I would certainly like to join the game next season. If it's possible, of course. |

Good, riders are progressing too fast, we're actually winning Giro stages now
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Will keep Paris-Roubaix Espoirs Tour as an option, no issues.
As for the GP, I too have been thinking as to a good way of comparing the later joining riders, for exactly the reasons you mentioned. We can go with comparing the results of younger riders and maybe the average of the older ones when they were the same age. That is one possibility I have been thinking of.
The other idea which am thinking about bringing in is having all riders being compared to everyone else once they turn 25 and have the GP recalculations done every year post that. Now it is recalculated every two years. Those younger will continue to follow the current process.

Off course, sign ups will open at the beginning of next season, so stay tuned
@quadsas, Ollfardh: I don't really have a mind to speed up the growth of riders at the moment, but let's see if I can think of something in the meantime. The U25 races help a bit I guess
Still accepting ideas for WC courses. I will probably put up 2/3 options for each race for voting next weekend. So in case, you have anything in mind, please share here.

I don't have anything to add currently, sounds good to me. Not too fussed about the WC course, I'm sure there are plenty of French stages to choose from.
