That wasn't quite how I imagined it, but we'll take it. Kelderman is in a great position after Stage 1 and has a great chance to take the GC lead with still a decent gap to the pack. Let's hope he delivers.
Not getting too ahead of ourselves, but this is exactly the kind of luck we didn't have last season, so I'm not apologizing for anything PCM does in our favour

I know I don't exactly have the best hills squad, but our best rider at 10'? And it's Seboka of all people Let's hope we're at least in the break on the last day to get something out of it. Thanks for the race though Marco, it was enjoyable (if you didn't look from my team's perspective of course), congratz Ivan!

Not really sure what my best hill rider was doing in the breakaway...
Really not the start I was hoping for. I don't think the TT will be very great for us in stage 2 so I would say this tour is already a bust. Will be an interesting Stage 3 however.

Uwizeyimana losing 3 minutes to the favorites group is a big blow for our chances of securing a good GC result. Need Gallopin to have a good TT and limit the losses as much as possible on the last stage, now.

I didn't expect to see this gaps for sure.
And very interesting that my team was working in the bunch during the stage, which obviously means that Dunbar is considered a race favourite.
The GC Top10 is a bit more doubtful now, as too many riders have a too big advantage

That was a good stage forus, Denifl definitely has a shot at winning the whole thing depending on his form tommorow, and should be some depth scoring from Zamri and Carpenter as well

Great job by Kelderman to take the leader's jersey, which I had not expected at this point. Disappointed by Dumoulin's TT though. Was hoping for another Top 5 finish. Storer still holding on for a high U25 position is good.
This is Slagter's race to lose now I believe. Don't have any illusions that we can hold our top spot after Stage 3 with the tough final climb. Hoping that Bardet (or someone else?) once again gets into the break and doesn't get dropped this time.

Really happy with how that went, Morne with a great ride for 2nd and JA holding onto 3rd overall and even extending his reign in white over Padun, but I'm under no illusions that he will keep it any longer. Not sure what to expect from him GC-wise tomorrow but hope he does himself proud in his first GC leadership for the main team. If Stan can also do well from 13th behind him that's a lovely bonus.

Good TT from Gallopin. Some good climbers in front of him and behind him in the GC though, so I'm not feeling too optimistic about a top 10/15 in the GC anymore. Hope to see us in the break on the last stage as that should be our best chance of achieving something.
