Wonderful start for us, multiple riders taking breakaway opportunities, and a jersey to wear tomorrow. That said, tomorrow is a much bigger day.

Bonifazio trying to redeem himself is nice, but what I don't like is Senni and Bolivar so far back. Now they'll always lose a good GC if they somehow finish in a front group tomorrow.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

The fun doesn't stop for Holloway, now a stage win too, what a month! And a nice breakaway move for Wirtgen - 6 seconds for today's U25 lead, and also the best GC position for whichever group he can finish with tomorrow.

Proud of Vesely for showing himself after an abysmal TDU, sham the lottery didn't quite work out for us. Holloway should be tested.
Thanks for the report nemolito!

Holloway is simply impressive. Last year going strong in January, this year going even stronger against much bigger competition.
Congrats SN for that incredible improvement of your squad!
Groenewegen in 3rd is great and gives us some points from his 2rd here.
Regarding the GC 3-4 GC riders finished ahead of Olivier but many finished behind, which might become important when bigger s.t. groups finish together tomorrow.
Hopes for a top10 are there. Iirc he is shared 8th best climber here with like 10 similar riders though.
But I must admit, I would be disappointed if too many climbers with less than 81 finish ahead of him, which also includes the likes of Beltran, MAL. |

A few points from Saber which is better than nothing, but this race is all about tomorrows stage for Beltran.

There must be a hidden stat "PCM's darling", where Holloway has 100 points - can't really explain his performance so far this year!
Once again, many sprinters out in the wind way too early, with especially Moser doing a completely counterproductive leadout. I hope for my team's sake that leadouts work out better down in CT...
Now let's bring on the mountains
And thanks for the report, Nemolito, great job!

It's called Resistance. Ulrich, knockout, jandal and I (plus others I've surely forgotten) tried to warn you all, but no one listened
Good start from Tosh, taking points in a field he should on paper have been lucky to take a top 10 in. Now for Carthy to hopefully overachieve a little as well. |

How on earth was Guillén able to win sprints last year then?
I'm absolutely with you that it's important, but Holloway is really just going crazy these days.

And this is why I decided not to replace Itami. Sprints are just too random. Of course getting a 2nd place is a great result for Hayakawa, and Im extremely happy with the result, but he shouldn't be in 2nd in this field.

An uneventful day for us as expected, but again another thrilling sprint this season which keep defying logic in a way, congrats Hollowow once again!
Unsurprising to me, it's still all about energy conservation as the speed drop from an empty bar is crazy.
Herklotz behind Lecuisinier, Phinney and MAL is not ideal, but we're aiming for at least bonus seconds tomorrow anyway so let's make sure none of that matters.

I'm counting on this for the next many seasons with my up and coming sprinter (who isn't yet really trying to take part). Tiavini has 78 RES now and will finish his development at 80.

Wow. Dan gets his stage win after being close in Qatar. Although, in the CT his win rate was 33% so I would say he is underperforming.

Oh dear. 19th by Olivier must have been at least -3 day if not -4 or -5. Really unfortunate on a 1 day GC decider.
With Valls surprisingly high ahead of him in 15th it might still not be as much scoring as hoped but compensates a lot of it. Hopefully a sign what is to expect by the Spaniard in his GTs and leading races.
Congrats Croatia. Phinney in a class of his own, even without a time trial. Very terrifying. |

Well the AI fortune rebounded there! Wirtgen did well to salvage something from that positioning, expected better from the rest.
Thanks for your first reported race Nemolito!
