Final rankings update posted.
Mohoric impressively won the PR rankings despite his stats being far from the best in the game. He definitely did better than it could have been expected but his win is also due to his season schedule when he participated in plenty of suiting CT races. In the WT rankings he still became fourth behind 3 common names at the top. Nibali overtook Contador in the last month and won with one tiny points. Next year it will be difficult for both riders to repeat their performance as they both decline. World Champion Fabio Aru also had a great season, as he finished as the best scorer of the CT teams. He profited from taking big results in plenty of WT races. The individual CT rankings went again to Silvio Herklotz ahead of Luca Wackermann and Chris Froome who had a decent last season. Sprinters dominate the U23 tour with Wagner and Zanni on top, Avenir winner Wais is third.
Finally Peter Sagan repeated his World Cup win by almost 200 points. He definitely is the best classics rider in the game. I hope next season riders like GVK and Phinney can challenge him better.
That's it about individual performances looking at the team rankings Argos - Quala probably had one of the most dominant seasons of ICL history. Their gap to the next team in the end was larger than 3000 points. Italo and Carbonsports take the other podium spots in WT as well as Prestige Rankings. At the bottom of the World Tour it was close until the end, when Sugoi took the final save spot. Credit Suisse, CCC and VisitUkraine end up on the relegation spots.
The promotion race was a close fight until the end as well. Aru's last month means Ceramica Panaria in the end finish as the best CT team. Besides them SAP and Santos finish in promotion ranks. Latter won the final CT team standings. Balkan was in promotion positions almost all season but in the end closely miss out as 4th. Suntory Orangina take another dominant victory in the U23 tour with multiple riders scoring high. After missing out last year Carbonsports this time also won the team World Cup next to the individual one. |

last month didn't bring useful points for us as expected, falling a couple of positions in rankings. it was anyway a positive season for the team with much more good results than what I could expect.
hopefully getting top results in focus races can boost our budget for next year, where the team hopes to sign a leader that can compete for prestigious races.

Quite safe from relegation in the end but didn't make much progress up the standings this season. Need to strengthen more in the off-season I guess.
Yates easily the star of the show with his high placings in the Prestige rankings and winning the Hills part of the World Cup.

Wait wait wait, 3 teams relegate? I'm so dumb, why did noone remind me of that when I was constantly talking about "being safe"?
Well that sucks then but honestly I deserve it after being so oblivious to multiple rules in WT and a shit transfer season in general. I don't really know yet what I'll do in CT, maybe I need some sort of major overhaul, as most of my riders are gonna decline/will approach declining soon so yeah. I definitely want to keep my swiss core though.
Anyway thanks a lot Bikex for all your contributions.

Thanks for the write up.
A solid season for Liberty Seguros, in which Herrada confirmed his GT aspirations by challenging Nibali in the Vuelta until the final time trial & also having a good performance when one ignores the Tour crash that put him out of GC. With a good Tour we could have been 4th I think in PT ranking.
Betancur was good however he is not a Top 3 hilly rider anymore (Kwiatek, Barguil, Aru seem to have the edge over him now, and Yates and Mohoric are better sprinters apparently). He was still thereabout and collected wins, but not quite as strong as last year.
Pulido with a major step up, being in contention even for some GCs and generally having some good stage results. Its too bad he missed the time limit in the Vuelta, could have been some solid points.
VDP - I am not sure, hopefully he progresses in the off season and can take the path of Mohoric then. If he develops fast and good enough, he could already challenge them next year, lets see. Navarro with a great turnout this year, He doenst have a lot of potential left but that could still be enough for him to be a great stage hunter. Some youngsters will leave Fundacion this year, primarily Garcia, Navarette, and Garau - they had a really strong showing, and will easily join the pro team for years.

Thanks for a great season and thanks to Bikex ad Shonak for making it happen.
Those previews knew of what they spoke after all - 5th was the consensus and 5th was where we finished (at least in Prestige). Henao and Ciolek both came through and Benoot was better than I thought he would be. Vanbilsen was a disappointment, didn't allow for all the WT riders in the cobbled races he targeted.
Not bad for a first season. Sure McRettin will have some comments to make in the coming weeks.

Thanks Shonak for the first World Championships results. Pleased with Boily winning his qualification race. Had hopes for Martinez to repeat his U23 win, but the results so far show that the climb late in the TT course has an influence on the result.
Simek and Martinez both were part of mixed teams btw that's why they didn't compete with jerseys from their nations. |

Simek blasted the competition away even without the climb, but yes, some riders like Pulido greatly improved on that hill section.
Very surprising: I think that Dan Martin and Ireland didnt manage to qualify for the elite race.

@Vali: I was sure you were kidding! Sorry, must be quite the blow to go down like that.
@ivan: Nations, not riders, depending on the combined score of their riders in the qualification race. Can't remember how many nations make it, though. I expect Estonia made it thanks to Laas and Kangert.

@Ripley: I wish I was, but I'm really that stupid.
But yeah no need to be sorry, it was entirely my fault, let's see what CT brings!

3 riders in the top15 at the U23 road race is a pleasing result but Suntory favourite for the race Hiroyuki Nakano is nowhere to be seen? Did he crash out?

Surely it didn't with Benito Garcia in 3rd!?
Alves <3 shouldn't have sold him!

No British rider in the U23 race, no wonder since there are also no British riders in any of the dev teams. We'll change that next season, we've already hired three Brits for our team, but none of them are future greats.

Teams that qualify for the world championships are:
- Top 15 nations (of which there needs to be at least one from each continent) after the countries rankings.
- Top 4 nations in the European Qualifier
- 5 nations from the Rest of the World Qualifier (top nation from each continent except Oceania + 1 more)
- 1 mixed team from each Qualifier (including the next 5 best nations according to the same principle as above)
In the qualifiers only the best placed rider of a nation counts! |

I have posted the U21 world championships. The road race comes with a video, so you can scout yourself for some more potential talents to sign.
Only the elite events left, current medals count in the spoiler.

Wow, Kaminski finished with Silver and the only rider within less of a minute from the winning time - not bad first outing. He can be the TT specialist of the future.
JorrÃn finished within the peloton, but I am not very impressed with his result - maybe the terrain wasn't showing his skill.

Shelton seemed so well placed for the longest time, 18th is a bit disappointing.
