Looking forward to some NC jersey battles between Schreurs and Beltran

.:Full Squad Roster:.
We should have maybe have presented this after the transfers we completed, but we were far too eager to show off our new Nat. Champs jerseys for the 2020 season.
So without further ado, here is our 2020 GCN Racing roster:

.:Goals & Wildcards
The season is beginning to get closer and we thought this was a good time to announce our goals for the 2020 season.
Last season, we targeted multiple terrines and came away with 3 of our 5 goals secured, although 2 of them were the Team Standing and Individual Standings. This year, pre-transfers were looking at Cobbles and Hills for our Goals... let's see how we do this season.
Cheshire Cycling Tour | Top 10
This was a difficult race for us last season, and could be even more difficult this year being a PTHC race, however when the goal was set, it was a HC race. The failure to sign a top cobbles during transfers will hamper us more in the goal but it will a newly maxed Clenne Morvan Moulingui leading the line here.
Strada Bianche | Top 5
A Top 5 goal is the target for GCN Racing on the white roads of Strada Bianche, and a man like Maurice Schreurs was signed for this exact reason. Our newly signed Dutchman will well supported and should be looking strong on the run into Siena, where he finished 10th last season.
Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne | Win
Another race with a cobbles signing in mind, Moulingui will be our man here again, as we look for the victory on the Belgian cobbles. Scott Thwaites rode the race for cycleYorkshire last season and took 9th so he could also play a key role.
E3 Prijs | Top 5
Well this one is an instant failure... not securing the PTHC band containing the E3 Prijs means we will be present on the start line. Sadly due to the other races in the band, we lowered our priority in our choices and we were not allocated the races.
Team Standings | Top 15
Survival is key this year and goal is aimed at that. We have done well during the transfers so there is an optimistic outlook regarding the 2020 season. This should be a success if all goes well this year.
*****
The 2020 PT Wildcards were recently announced by the MGUCI, and we are delighted to have received our Top 2 picks and a race we had on our priority list in position 4.
Maurice Schreurs will be battling the big puncheurs of the PT division at Liege-Bastogne-Liege and Fleche Wallone, whilst our Kiwi TT man Jesse Sergent will be going for glory at the Chrono des Herbiers, a race where he finished 7th last season

Having seen your HQ and schedules, I'm disappointed that we will only have Schreurs vs Kelderman in 2 or 3 races... I think our other clashes are C2 races.

.:Sponsor News:.
We thought our last update would have been the last update before the January Race previews, but it would appear not! We come to you today with some 2021 sponsor news!
Ahead of the new season, Eurosport will add some extra cash into the pot next year, and has been brought onboard as main sponsor. They already link up with GCN with their coverage of races across the globe, so makes sense that they would come onboard with this adventure as well.
The Eurosport name will not appear on the jersey for this season, as our 2020 designs are already submitted and approved with the MGUCI. However, a new 2021 jersey is already under construction, when the Eurosport name joins the ManGame.

Looks like a nice combination of sponsors that wont require any new direction for your team. I like how you already plan ahead to 2021

It shouldn't disrupt too many things direction wise - keep a good GBR presence, which should be added to further.
2021 planning for a kit, but never for anything else.

Here we have it... 2020 season is upon us and let's get the PCT party started in the GCN Racing team!
A full month in the sunny climes of Australasia, with 2 races Down Under before a hop over the Tasman Sea to New Zealand.
Down Under Classic
10 January 2020 Roster
K.Itami | M. Matthews | M. Vingerling | D. McLay | J. Archibald | S. Burke | M. Walls | F. Gall |
Overview
On paper, it is our strongest line up in the sprints. Itami will make his debut and lead the team, backed up by other new boys Matthews and Vingerling. The pair also work as a nice back up to Itami, should the worst happen to our Japanese sprinter out on the course.
Archibald and Burke will be the lead-out starters, whilst Walls and Gall get their first action of their cycling careers.
Race Goal - Top 10
Tour Down Under
14-19 January 2020 Roster
M. Schreurs | A. Dowsett | E. Mohs | M. Landa | G. Nzeke | G. Hategeka | M. Stedman | F. Gall |
Overview
There might be only two stages for the puncheurs of the MG peleton Down Under, but we are all in for our Dutch Nat. Champ Schreurs. Backed up by Dowsett, Landa, Hategeka and Nzeke, we come here with our full Hills squad.
Mohs will be the man for those stages that end in a sprint, but has no pressure on his shoulders in what must be the final season of his career.
Gall rides again for us, transferring over from the Down Under Classic team, with Max Stedman getting his debut.
Race Goal - Top 5 GC & Stage Win
Gisborne GP
31 January 2020 Roster
M. Schreurs | A. Dowsett | M. Landa | G. Nzeke | G. Hategeka | S. Williams | M. Stedman | F. Gall |
Overview
Like with Tour Down Under, we are all in for Schreurs. An almost identical roster, with Williams coming into the team to replace Mohs. All about our Dutchman again here as we aim for a strong result.
