Best you don't tell the exact story how you got Kiflay, might ruin the whole "Project: Africa" philosophy

The latest development for the team is its stellar signing of French climber Thibaut Pinot. He joins the team after a deal was struck with GCN Racing (managed by the_hoyle). The team has hinted that its goals are very mountain-centric, so after a stellar 2019 CT season, Pinot will no doubt be paramount to achieving them.

Take care of Tibopino! I have loved him for 3 years and he is the reason why I am back in PCT. He is welcome back at GCN at any time, and don't worry about him in a TTT. He hung on well enough with me

That's why you just have no good TTists anyway, duh

11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Pinot is going to be a headache for sure, but I'm looking forward to battling against him, will be interesting to see who has the most dominant climber

Wow, that's some really bold goals for a new team! Admittedly, you do have a very strong squad to achieve them - I guess I can be happy I'm rather into hills and sprints this year
Will be interesting to see if I should have gone for Pinot, or if Moscon will get a similar amount of points.
Wish you all the best for the season!

Very lofty, but not totally unachievable! I am not too sure about the Top 5 standings, but in theory Pinot should challenge for Eritrea and Vancouver where he won/very nearly won. Trentino should be a similar story and he will have good TTT support. Once I see what the conti TTT squads look like I will comment on Vilnius |

The Continental season kicks off in Yekateringburg where we will field our best hill riders, Seibeb and Ssabagwanya. Neither is known to be exceptional, but they are well-rounded riders who could cause an upset on a good day.
In Venezuela we are fielding a strong team in support of Pinot who aims to win the race after a close second last year. He comes up against stiff competition, but can look to Seibeb, Reguigui, Augustyn, and Russom for solid support. Juan van Heerden has decided to brave the mountainous tour in order to take his chances on the sprint stages.
Meanwhile in Australia, the riders will attempt to soak up the sun and perhaps slip into an early break while Haddi will see what he can do in the sprint.

That Tachira team looks very strong. Pinot will probably win or finish second and has some strong domestiques, Seibeb has a decent shot at stage victory and Van Heerden will be one of the fastest men without a doubt, I'm interested to see the importance of the acceleration stat in the sprints
Also nice to loan in Munton, iirc you mentioned he was a good friend of yours irl? If he overperforms and gets a nice result from a break somewhere he might become an even better friend

Three races where we'll meet. With Pinot, i'm not under any illusions, but i wouldn't have been either way considering your prime domestique maybe is even stronger than my lead. I hope to deliver more competition against you in Russia and Australia!
