Hey, I had some questions, and I thought this was a good place to ask.
1. As a new manager I will obviously have to sign a lot of free agents. In the transfer rules it states that the minimum wage is 50k. However, some riders (before becoming a free agent) had a higher wage. Let's say Rider A is a free agent and under Wage in the database you can find 300K. Does my first offer has to be 300k wage, or can I start lower (always or in particular cases such as a rider with decreasing stats)?
2. When loaning in a rider with a clause to level up from 1 to 3 and looking at this rule: "i.e. Minimum fee to agree a 'Level 1 to Level 3' clause is: "Amount of wage paid by loaning in team" + "Full wage of rider" + 100k." Is it fair to assume that, if the loaning out team decides to pay 100% of the wage (for example 50k), he needs to pay 150k and I have to pay nothing (except for the rider taking up 50k in my loan cap)?
3. Following that question, how big is the chance for a team to loan out a rider to me with that clause and me not paying that particular rider's wage? Is it correct to assume that is actually quite a good deal for the team loaning out the rider, considering they "only" have to pay the 100/150k fee and his 50k wage? |

1. No, that's just their old wage from 2019 and won't be present in the pre-transfers DB
2. Yeah you have that right.
3. In my experience you'll see every type of loan in terms of who pays the wage across transfers, depends on the agendas of the team. For a PCT team I'd say they'd almost always consider that a bad deal since they could do 1>3 themselves and would only loan to a CT team to free cap space I would think. PT depends on their agenda since they do need to loan them out I think, but again I would think they'd prefer to put the wage burden on you unless they were really tight on non-wage budget. In general I would say that cap space money is worth more than "extra" money so most teams would try get you to pay at least some wage, but maybe you'll find one who won't |

Hey,
Welcome to the show I was in the same place a year ago, and asked many, many questions... I'll try to answer yours:
1. Minimum wage is always 50k for free agents. Of course, a rider earning 300k in the previous season is unlikely to sign for 50k, as others will probably place higher bids. But for any free agent, the minimum bid is always 50k.
2. First of all, be aware that the transfer rules for the upcoming transfer period have not been published yet. It should however be pretty safe to assume that most will stay the same...
And your assumption is correct. As a loaning-in team, you never pay a fee with 1 -> 3 loan terms, but you would get 150k in this case.
3. That will highly depend on the rider's wage. The biggest talents won't have a wage of just 50k, and so the loaning-out team may want to clean up a bit of their cap space. Usually, for the PT/PCT teams money isn't that much of an issue, it's rather the cap space. So they might want you to pay part of the rider's wage and pay you a higher fee instead.
Edit: I guess I just did my first Zabel

Congrats to all the new managers! I hope you'll get to enjoy the game over the next years as much as I do, and good luck in your first season.

All new managers need to have a dropbox account to share files between you and me for later steps.
If you already have dropbox, simply send me a PM with your mail address and I will create a shared folder.
If you don`t have dropbox yet, please use the following link to create one: https://www.dropb...rc=global9 and send me a PM with the mail afterwards.
This one will give me a couple more MB of free space as my MG account is onace again coming to a limit space wise. |
