I love your talents
A nice mix of climbers, sprinters and classics riders

@roturn: The idea was to have the next generation ready before the current generation fades. Was lucky there wasn't a lot of competition last season for either Inkelaar or Eenkhoorn.
@redordead: I like them too. Unfortunately, I've developed an unhealthy attachment to them and it's hard to decide what to do with them next season.

You've got two very different but very talented young climbers in the wings. Bright future for them.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

@bbl: That's the hope One of the reasons we were interested in both is that they were very different riders. Hoping we can use them very differently as they develop.

It has been a difficult year for the team, with relegation having been on the cards for half of it and finally confirmed in the closing stages of the season. As such, it is not unusual that there will be some upheaval behind the scenes.
Two of our long-time sponsors - Lufthansa and Duvenbeck, the former having backed us since our foundation, have decided not to renew their association with us. The loss of sponsors and their investment is always a setback for any team, and we wish we could've convinced them to stay on.
The good news is that our title sponsors have decided to continue. Philips have assured us that they are willing to continue backing us as long as we promote Dutch cycling and give a chance to Dutch riders. They have been happy with the national representation in our setup and our recruitment of Kelderman, Inkelaar and Eenkhoorn, among others, were a big boost to their confidence in this regard.
More sponsor news, if any, will follow soon. We look forward to the new season, albeit in the CT, having secured this stability for the squad. News about our renewals and our jersey reveal will come soon.

Its good to see that Philips is sticking around as you have a nice dutch core to build around. Will be tough to manage the salary cap - especially if you keep Kelderman as the post suggests but he will hopefully be worth it.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

We expect a difficult off-season in general as this is the first time that we'll be dealing with a reduction in budgets. Kelderman is a prized possession for us and the sponsors, and a lot of the team's direction will depend on whether we can keep him or have to let him go.

It's great for Dutch cycling that Philips is back and willing to back the team in the CT. Feels very much like a staple of the MG

National Championships Update The Philips management would like to congratulate Lahcen Saber and Ryan Gibbons on winning their respective Moroccan and South African National Championships Road Race.
This is the first time any of our riders have won the Road Race in their country's championships. They also continue the tradition of our good results in national championships of African countries, after Lotto Petrus won the ITT last year.
As negotiations continue with Saber over his contract, we cannot at this time reveal whether he will be riding in our colours next season. Gibbons will be taking his title and jersey back to GCN Pro Team, from where we took him on loan for the season. We wish him and his team all the best for their future endeavours.
Two other notable performances for us in the National Championships were 2nd place finishes by Florentino Marquez and Wilco Kelderman in their country's respective Road Races.
With our involvement in the National Championships coming to an end. it is time we bid farewell from our 2019 HQ and also from the PCT. We'll be back soon with a new HQ for a new season. Stay tuned...
