I'm sorry for actually having news to start a thread, but this is big news.
Sunweb won the fight against BORA, and convincingly at that considering a contract length of FOUR years.
While Sunweb clearly has a great track record developing talent, they're very stacked with Leknessund, van Wilder and Donovan besides the already established Hirschi, Oomen and all the Australians, plus whoever else they might sign in the future.
This also puts less of a spotlight on him though compared to BORA where he would've come right after Kämna in the media talk.
4 years is quite optimistic though, we've seen plenty riders getting fed up with the Sunweb ways after two or three.

As the 21 and Done agent of Marco, I fully endorse this decision and hope he will lead the Tour de France next year for Sunweb. I also deny any rumours that I have deleted all INEOS contract offers from his mail account.
But yes, 4 years at Sunweb given the exits of Major Tom, Kittel and others is a bit risky but to be fair, they are great at developing their riders.

Let’s not forget Dainese, Kanter (does he still count?) for the sprints too. Sunweb is like a professional development team, curious to see where this leads. |

As 21 and Done agent for both of them, I certainly hope so

Mitchelton-Scott will have a new name once the season restars: Manuela Fundacion.

Sure, why not?
I do love a bit of pink on a kit, quite like it

Quite a switch from having a mining company to a NPO. Then again, from the article I have no idea what this npo does and neither does the website indicate much.

Yeah, I have no idea and neither does Google. Best I could find is that they also sponsor an U23 cycling team based in Granada. I don’t know what this means but if it can save the team, it is welcome. |

Seems to be a bit of different one. It's a registered NPO that seems to focus on providing support to a range of pro/semi-pro sports people locally in Spain, is the title sponsor for said U23 team, and now the WT team. Previously tried to buy out a Liga3 team, Real Jean, but was unsuccessful.
Run and financed by Francico Huertas, Spanish businessman. He's clearly a passionate sports fan, but again it's hard to find much about him or why it's done via an NPO and not some other means (a la Ineos, Tinkoff etc)
Edit:
Definitely keep an eye on this one!
Already some conflicting accounts of the situation. GreenEdge saying they maintain ownership of the team, lisences etc but Francico claims he's bought the lot. As more details emerge as we build back towards racing watch how this plays out, and what it's knock on will be on the transfer market especially!

According to his wife though, all ismore or less fine and it would just need time for him to recover from broken rips, collarbone etc. |

The Fundacion Manuela takeover of Mitchelton-Scott will not be happening after all:
“We felt a strong initial connection with Mr Francisco Huertas, the Manuela Fundación and their noble aims,” team founder and principal Gerry Ryan explained.
“However, as the negotiations have evolved after the initial announcement on Friday, we have concluded that the relationship will not proceed. We wish Mr. Francisco Huertas and the Manuela Fundación all of the best for the future."
Honestly, these whole proceedings felt kind of sketchy. Just hope that they find another way to finance the team next year.

Manuela Fundacion is very sketchy anyway, it will only start in October 2020 and the owner tried to take over 2 football clubs in Spain but both negotiations busted for some reason.

I knew this organization was iffy and IMO this is one of those shell companies used as a smokescreen to hide a fraudulent activity.

To be honest, would one "evil" main sponsor extra make such a difference in today's peloton?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Yeah, it seems to be pretty par for the course at this point. I'm kind of done getting mad about it.
