Surely it can't be Merckx, but since my knowledge of cycling history is more limited than it should be, I can't think of anyone else who was WC in that time. So he's my next guess.

Rik Van Looy is correct, the only guy that could win the 6 major classics (back when Paris-Tours was up there with the 5 monuments, Merckx actually never won that race!)
