Just won the Vuelta in my second season as Pro Cyclist, and I'm wondering if anyone has won a GT with a worse Pro Cyclist?

For those who won't bother zooming in on the stats, it's FLA 70, MON 76, HIL 76, TTR 83, PRL 80, COB 59, SPR 70, ACC 72, DHI 65, BAR 63, STA 67, RES 71, REC 73. |

Not really, actually. Against Yates, I got 10 seconds on the prologue and 57 seconds on the TT. Winning both. But Bernal, Alaphilippe and Wellens rode really aggressively in the first two weeks, and I handled that a little better than Yates and Landa, then dropped them with Yates and Landa in the third week. But yeah. Silly, silly stuff. +5 and +4 on all mountain stages though. Bless that "outstanding performance in GC"! |

In fact, Vuelta is the easiest GT to win because AI form is bad in end of the season and your rider was well prepared for this GT, he has very good form. |

not so a bad rider, but I remember that with pcm14 I won 3 Vuelta in a row with Bauke Mollema with 79MO 80HIL 72TT, against top riders like Froome, Porte, Uran, Contador, having all 84 and 85 MO...everyone was fighting so hard in first two weeks and then fading really bad in third.
at first getting one Vuelta I thought was a super achievement, when got third I understood was something that could be an issue of AI...

Very impressive, haven't seen someone with 76MO or less in my time take one out! Best I've had was with Pierre Roland with 78MO and 64TT in the Tour. Incredibly lucky though, was mainly just stage hunting, 24 minutes down in the GC going into stage 19 and the peloton let the breakaway blow out up to 30 minutes and Pierre ended up leading the GC by 1 minute! Held on by 12 seconds in stage 20 and that was that! Primarily stupidity on the peloton's behalf really rather than Pierre though |

In other words, you did an Óscar Pereiro! |

On the verge of winning the Vuelta with Lawson Craddock (Mt 78) by over 7 minutes (only the parade stage to go). (PCM15)
Mostly AI stupidity...Astana is riding for Kwiatkowski (Mt 77) despite having multiple riders with higher than 80 mt...
Sky didnt send the A team, and no one else has strong time trialists...
Doesnt matter, will be my first GT win for Lotto Jumbo... |

Well. Yes and no. All of INEOS (Bernal included) and Movistar were around 85-90% fitness, but Yates, Landa, Izagirre, Uran and Nibali were 99-100% in the last two weeks. And Bernal on 85% is still, as you know, surprisingly hard to race against! |

Won the Giro with Jungels 73 Mo and 74 TT using the world DB 2020. He improved 1 flat before the race which helps. Flat is the most abuseable stat in the game for GT's so considering he has 81 his stats are actually great, but depending on your perspective if you don't race correctly he is weak.

Why Flat statistics is the most important for GT's? |

I assume because you can use a late breakaway to win stages and time...an exploit the AI doesnt use because it doesnt fit the meta the game tries to create...? |

Yeah, I'm suggesting that winning from breakaways doesn't count. If that's what you're saying. The AI can't really respond to that. |

Mountain is still the most important overall I would say, but flat is a great stat if you make use of it.
Every single stage hammer it on every flat section (87+ effort) and the pure climbers like Yates, Bernal, Lopez with their sub 70 flat stats burn so much energy that they either just drop or you can keep up with them in the mountains even with 73 stat. With QS it's easy to do since you start with Lampaert, Asgreen, Declerc, Evenpoel, Jungels, Cavagna etc
PCM AI has so many things which you can abuse you'd have to try real hard not to get an unfair advantage. |

If you have good flat, you can hammer attack at 99 from about 14km or so, and on a good day, out time trial the peloton to the finish...
...at least on PCM15. |

Not sure if it counts, but I won the 2012 Tour de France game with Tony Martin. He had 73/74 mountain. Tactical masterclass in the mountains and crushed the ai in the time trials. |

Juan Jose Cob-oh wait, wrong forum
