 Hanko Classic
Welcome to the southern tip of Finland, for the second edition of the Hanko Classic!  Jacopo Guarnieri won the inaugural event, but with the race promoted to the C1 category for this season he'll face a stiff challenge to defend his title.
 Degenkolb,  Ahlstrand,  Cavendish,  Vanderbiest and  Ciolek are the biggest names joining him, but they are only the tip of the iceberg, with 20 80+ SP riders in the field.

Looking to spoil the party for the sprinters are a number of the division's best flat powerhouses.  Manamalage and  Arashiro have the biggest engines in the field, but more well rounded options such as Vanbilsen, Kluge, Stallaert and Breen look like the main threats - though in the case of the latter duo, they may be required to work for their respective sprinters instead of being given freedom to attack.

This used to be the races where Van Asbroeck shined as one of the tougher sprinters, but that guy vanished in PCM18. Thanks for the report and congrats Volvo!

Yes, we finally did a good race!
Ciolek in 6th is nothing special, but with Kreder in 7th and Mezgec 18th that's a very good team performance. I was surprised to see a train for Ciolek and while it didn't work, it was still worth it for the depth scoring, that is only possible in a classic.

I'll take 11th as top 15 seems to be about Salleh's level this season, totally missed the fact he was mentioned in the opening post and thought we were looking for a long attack from Mundle so it's a better result than I anticipated.
