I think Evonik has found a way to break the game.
So this is what happens if you are basically the only top sprinter in a group and having the strongest train of the game? And not even needing Dzamastagic therefore.
Congrats! |

Great sprint from Riesebeek for Evonik, 12th is a solid enough result tbh after the early race - splits are hard to handle.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

He's called Yannick Stoltz, he likes dogs, Mexican food and long walks on the beach

Assuming (!!) that nothing Evonik does here or elsewhere can see them pass us this season, congrats knockout How fitting this race happens right after the big sprint discussion.
I continue to be underwhelmed by the team's performance in general, although this may pass as saving energy so far.
Tomorrow's the first big day where we have to aim to make gaps appear over the top of the climb, ideally a solo gap from Herklotz to put time into the others on the descent.

Evonik are clearly doping, so going to celebrate Bettiol's first pro win here ready for it being awarded to him retrospectively a few years down the line |

Yeah
Although i wouldnt contribute my results here to good sprint AI but rather startlist effects and forced selection prior to the sprint finish. So imo not really comparable with complaints about weaker sprinters benefitting much more from the leadout trains of stronger sprinters or the likes

Not a good race for us... Bongiorno completely exploding losing 10min. Also doesn’t manage to get a single KOM point...

Would have loved to lose less time, but then again Velits was in the expected group, so can`t complain. Top10 was difficult here from the start. So now it`s about attacking later or defend this 10th-12th spot. |

Smith with a very good job to support Morton until the end and give us a nice position regarding the team's classification.
Losing rather big time to Sicard ain't nice though. But no need to panic at this point. At least we kinda managed to keep Gesink at the same time as the chasing group.
