1,3,4 on stage 3 for me. Hoping my GC riders can bring me back into contention overall.

McCarthy with a double crash that early in the season as he was also down on day 2...not the way to start the season.
Got Porte, Impey, Dennis for my team today, so quite decent.
Not too sure yet about Impey as Yates looks stronger and could end up ahead on Willunga GC wise. At least Dennis so far was a decent pick, even if I dropped Sam Bennett for him.
Well done to those that picked Power. Was too expensive for me and wasn`t sure about him or Storer as leader neither. But surely one to make the difference in the close TdU velogames league. |

This must be my best Velogames race ever and I think my 2nd PCM.Daily race win.
Having picked the right sprinters really was vital here with Ewan/Philipsen and then some luck with the 6 pointers Dainese/Consonni.
Likely I could have replaced Dennis for 2 better scoring 8 pointers but who cares now. |

Thank you for setting this up for a fifth season in a row, ringo!
Managed to throw up a team for TDU in a few minutes, just before the race started. Happy I managed to, and went with the Aussie Aussie Aussie, , Oi Oi Oi approach, and except for an unlucky McCarthy, I'm happy going that route.
And with 26 teams up and running from the very start of this season's championship, it's fingers crossed we'll have a very nice depth come March with what's normally a very busy month Velogames wise.
Congratulations, roturn, on a great win in our TDU league and a very nice 12th place overall! |

Somehow transfered Porte out of my team without realissing it.. 5/9 good picks so mediocre start for me.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

It's very early stages however the first post has been updated with the standings after the Tour Down Under.
Congrats to Roturn on his second race win since records began. He was the only player to score bonus points Down Under so has a nice little lead in both the Overall and Men's Competitions.
Personally I picked three decent guys for the GC, but Viviani and Halvorsen didn't work out. To be honest I had completely forgot about Philipsen in my last minute rush to put a team together. I did mean to have another look at it before the race started but then ran out of time. 12th isn't a bad start though.
Guess I'll see you all in a few weeks for the Paris-Nice/Tirreno-Adriatico double.

Paris-Nice appears to be going ahead at this time.
Just in preparation, if the race is cancelled mid-race points will be scored to that point. I.E. If the race is cancelled after 4 stages the Velogames Championship points will be awarded based upon the league standings at that time.
Looks as though the full start list isn't available on the game yet. Hopefully the full selection of riders will be available shortly.

Yeah, it's been tough. I had a last check on my team last night and there were 2 non starters I had to swap. Still don't think the full start list was available. No doubt there will be a few more riders dropping out before the start.
Hopefully we make it all the way to Nice.

Yeah, exactly what is Ewan actually doing?
Btw I guess this is the last stage race of the spring cycling season. Maybe next race will be Tour de Suisse and Criterium du Dauphine.
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Congratulations Banesi the trio of Schachmann, Benoot and Higuita proved inspired. An entertainingly strange race in strange times.

Congratulations, banesi! A strong, strong team there with both Schachmann and Benoot... Not that many managers had that combination in general, and especially not in our Daily league
Looking at my own team, I'm happy with another podium place. Though, must admit the thought of having Schachmann and Benoot (24 cost points) instead of Sagan/Alaphilippe and Cosnefroy (24 or 26 cost points) is a little bit frustrating |
