Good breakaway fight. A quiet race for us so far, hopefully the boys is just saving their energi.

First and actually only goal already missed it's been a too quiet morning for Bennelong here and sadly we won't be a factor from here anyway.
Great coverage, thanks for that!

Thank God, van der poel makes this a mention for my team in the morning report.
Not more can be expected. |

It's very late, but thank you for the preview of the season, and the race start looks just as promising!
Declerq is a budget Gerts of sorts if we get lucky, sadly with 5* cobbles I expect the hills will likely play less of a role this season and throw this race off balance somewhat.
Ideally, he tries his luck in a mid-race attack to get out of the positioning trouble and hopes the group making the inevitable catch later is small enough to be worth the expenses.

Similar sentiment over here, although I doubt the break is big enough to give Ganna enough of a headstart to get points out of this adventure. Glad to see our youngster active and daring on all terrains.

Apologies to WVA, as a wildcard team our car is all the way at the back and it took some time to reach him
Looking forward to the rest!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

It's an absolute joke how Declerq was not in the Top fucking 80 riders in ANY wide shot of the peloton over the early cobbles and climbs, I already gave up on this race.
He somehow made it back, but obviously spent way too much energy in the stretched out latter part of the peloton and behind the inevitable splits, so it's no surprise he just got dropped and we're looking at a lower Top 20 at most.
That's not awful, but so so so unnecessary.

Some worrying splits, but I like the situation as it is now. A bit concerned that we might have spent a bit too much energy closing gaps, but hope the guys still have something left in the tank.

Vanbilsen looks ok so far, altohugh it seems he has lost all his support already.

First of all fantastic report already!
Love how well Evonik presents itself so far. Smirnovs with a monster ride and also Neilands looks great so far. Blythe quite attentive too.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Teunissen looks strong. Hope he doesn't waste too much energy on the front of the group.

Had hoped for better, but simply ran out of energy in the end there. 5th is still a good result for Wisniowski, and great to see both Pedersen and Ringheim top 20. All in all a pretty good day for us.
Bewley simply the best, as so many times before. Congrats Roman!
Thanks for an awesome work with this race, Tamijo

F*cking awful to not even really contest the Top10, at least (again) we knew we were relegating before the season even started. Move onto the next classic and regroup and try and go again for an upset.
Impressive, if somewhat excessive, report. So which PCT and CT race is getting this level of detail

We cracked in the end, not unexpected with Vanbilsen's MO stat. 4 guys in the top 50 is nice though.
Thanks for the very entertaining report!

Impressive work put into the report.
Disappointed by Gerts. Guess he needs more cobbles.

Bah, 14th is worthless...
I have to be close to relegation this season. Really bad results almost everywhere.

I agree, for various reasons I had the time and the race is special, but you are right it is too much and better spread the work over 10 good reports than one oversized. Was fun to do though. I don’t expect to do something like this again.

Fantastic report! Absolutely outstanding work
Must say i like the cobbles AI much more than e.g. the sprint AI. looked like great racing.
Quite happy with the race. Blythe did well and the rest if the team was great!
And i got my top 10 sponsor goal. 1 down, ready to fail every other one.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Next race to forget
Still can't understand why there is only one hilly cobbled race on the calendar.
Very good report and preview, tamijo. Thanks for that! |

Even without a horse in this race, this was fun to follow. Unique in terms of effort and execution. Great work, Tamijo!

YES! Very happy to get a podium in Vlaanderen. Teunissen had massive legs today.
Thanks for a great report Tamijo.
