Question to Amateur managers: Do you want me to provide a Free Agents DB for a full picture of who is available?
And can somebody update the nominated rider list please?

I don't need an updated db, the search function still works for me.
I will update the nominated rider list now.

You're late
I would rather have the FA list, but not a big issue if there's not one

I think he meant "Hermans will be our nomination then"
Because he had nominated before a rider that is under contract in my team, so that's the most reasonable explanation

A Free Agents DB would be very helpful!

The hard work of delving into the DB, checking with search function and stat gains manipulations already pretty much in place to support Amateur transfer activity here. Surprised that MGUCI would countenance doing most of folks 'homework' for them .

Race Choices
Thanks for submitting your race choices. It's very unlikely you'll get every race you asked for, due to:
- Oversubscribed races
- The fact that only 2 teams provided a selection with no race clashes
I'll be able to confirm the races for each team by the end of the day, but can't guarantee this will be before 8pm.
Team Size / Race Lineups
This year, Amateur teams will be allowed to sign up to 10 riders.
For each race, the team must consist of an 8 rider lineup, broken down by:
- The rider you signed from the nominated rider list [If you sign more than one, then it is the first one you sign who takes this place]
- 2-3 other Level 1 to Level 3 riders
- 4-5 Level 4 riders
Just signing 8 riders is fine. If you intend to sign 9 or 10, please let me know after you've been told your race list, and a small race planner will be provided.
XP
All unmaxed riders will automatically receive 10 xp as a result of being signed by an Amateur team. XP is then awarded normally, as per the C1 and C2 scales.
As 209 Avenir-eligible riders have been signed to main teams, Amateur riders will not be eligible for Avenir, even if young enough. They will be able to ride NCs though.
Financials and Bids
1. A total of 150,000 € can be used for each team and must not be exceeded.
2. All Amateurs have a minimum wage of 5,000 €.
3. Minimum Increase is 5,000 €.
4. Bidding takes place in the Free Agents forum, with the usual formatting requirements of '[Amateur] Rider Name' and your full team name preceding the bid.
5. An amateur is confirmed with a team when a period of 12 hours did pass since the last valid bid.
6. Any other relevant normal transfer season rule will apply.

Is level 4 just 4.00-4.99 or maxed as well?

. And exciting!
So if I read this correctly, you are looking for Amateur teams to potentially focus somewhat less on rider development with the prescription of 4/5 level 4 riders in every race line-up? (I envisaged this would likely be the other way around). BBL and I had been discussing (under the assumption of 8 rider maximum roster) only signing 2 or 3 level 4 riders and focussing more on less experienced options. Obviously if that is not allowed, we will adapt our approach as required.
The ability this season to sign up to 10 riders I think is new (forgive me if in my ignorance this is incorrect), but certainly does open up more opportunities for tactical thinking, particularly in the transfer window!
On that note, as our Cycling Centre is truly 'World' -wide, our presence across multiple time-zones means that although new to the Amateur transfer window experience, there is no chance of catching us out - between us we span across all relevant time-zones .
Spoiler In saying that both managers have scheduling conflicts that mean we will miss the first 1-2 hours of the transfer window, so hopefully we will not tread on too many toes when we suddenly barge into the room!

Level 4 includes maxed.
Scorchio, the race lineup restrictions are the same as what the full team restrictions were last year. I think the idea last year was to ensure some degree of competitiveness, and also so they don't just end up as 'talent farms ' for just the countries with an Amateur team focused on them.
Open to comments on whether allowing up to 5 Level 1 to 3 riders should be allowed per race though.

Thanks for responding SN, and I now recall some of those discussions from last year. I certainly see that the limitations make sense in terms of avoiding narrowly focussed 'talent farms' which would be a potentially advantageous 'hack' of the system by those fortunate enough to be awarded an Amateur franchise.
As stated, we will adapt as required within the constraints provided .

Does the nationality of the low level riders matter? Last year we couldnt only sign guys from our focus regions. Is there still a rule in place that prevents me from signing only unmaxed latvian guys? (Not that there are enough of those left that have the potential to ever ride pct)
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

No, I've left out any regional-based requirements this year.

Nope, wouldn't make sense to have 24 hour limits with 12 hour deadlines.

One thing i don't know if happened last season, and neither it's mentioned here.
Are we able to determine the development of the unmaxed riders that level up of our Amateur teams?

I just had a thought that is too late for this year, but what if next year we allow teams that want to be more development focussed and don't mind sacrificing some of the competitiveness of their sides to swap their level 4 slots for extra riders from the nominated pool. It makes sure the extra level 1-3 rider is a rider someone else would like to see benefit from this initiative, not just the manager of the amateur team selecting them.
