You should easily stay up, Seboka should be a good wildcard in the races he isn't supporting Machado, and Summerhill should boss the cobbles, will be interesting to see how much help Bakari will be or if he drops before he can be of use.

Will put my squad up with a nice presentation in my HQ later, but for now I thought I'd post it here and see what people think. Transfers went about as well as I could have hoped - having less than a million in cap space after promotion ruled me out of the Phinney and Lutsenko battles, so was happy to secure Cattaneo as the third name on my shortlist.
After that it was pretty quiet. Bidding wars lost for talents, and a few tactical retreats due to realising some of my big targets were also somebody else's (Gesbert, Madouas, Groselj, Farantakis, Razumov and Sirironnachai to name just a few). Van der Sande was a big addition, and Zhupa a nice piece to pick up late on. Beyond that it was just a case of refreshing my talent base, which went nicely - Min, Cras, Nunes, Voloshin, Tizza, Gogl, Affini, Salzmann, Menten, Kiskonen and Soulious (silent auction permitting) all have their uses down the line.
Not sure if it'll be enough to survive, but I'd say we have a better chance than we did in our last two PT seasons so just have to hope for the best (and PCM18 suiting us). Important thing is that if we don't, we already have in-house replacements ready for some of our older, more expensive riders so relegation won't hit us too hard. And if we do survive, we'll have cap space to burn and the opportunity to sell some riders to raise training funds.
Below is the team that will line up this season, and then all of the talents when maxed (though their training plans may change, and the OVL macro hasn't been updated)

Putting up my team as well...
Transfers saw us getting in two riders from Plan A while a couple of opportunistic bids got us two wonderful regional talents. Beyond that there was a lot of chats, disappointments, near misses, a FA signed after being on the bidding block for all but 5 hours of the transfer window and the most loan involvements and trade deals in the three year history of our team. Will put up a more detailed version of the squad in our team HQ tomorrow.

I think you'll end up doing fine this season!
Also some interesting development riders, although I can easily spot some where the development itself is the only interesting thing as similar riders could have been picked up fully developped for 50K.
A rider like Affini and De Bod f.e. Ssabagwanya and Gogl not much else than "fun" either I think. But I have those kind of talents too so it's not because I think it's a bad way to go about
The Soulious development hurt me badly though as I think he would be way more interesting with either of these stats:
69 | 76 | 74 | 67 | 74 | 75 | 70 | 51 | 70 | 78 | 63 | 74 | 67 | 69 | 74 | 76 | 67 | 75 | 74 | 69 | 51 | 71 | 78 | 63 | 74 | 67 | 69 | 75 | 75 | 66 | 74 | 74 | 70 | 51 | 70 | 78 | 63 | 74 | 66 |
Maxing him as a Track-Sprinter would put him among the 100 other similar or better leadout riders that will be picked up for 50-70K

Here is our team to take on the CT this season!
We felt the most important thing this season is to promote, especially given the number of younger riders I will have next season who will require loaning out. It was for this reason, as well as many riders from focus nations going for a ridiculous amount, that we strayed further afield to bring in the right riders.
I personally think we're a good shot at promotion given our well-rounded scoring options with Costa & McEvoy in the Hills, Nibali & Borisavljevic in the Mountains, Moser in the Sprints as well as Robert in the odd TT and Prologue. We're also a good shout to win a lot of U25 classifications.
On the talent side of things, we've loaned out 4 of them to the PCT. We've kept the others with us in the CT as we can develop them ourselves.
We signed one talent this season, Abdul Halil, who will max out at 81SPR & 79ACC which will be great help for Jakobsen in the future. French talents went at premium price this season and there weren't any Spanish talents of note.
Our two stagiares will be riding less than 10RD each but they'll be useful helpers for us in those races. They'll also add to our Avenir Team which now includes a fair few riders.
In the Draft we plan on bringing in a TT rider to boost our TTT and a Cobbler who will give us some scoring options in a sometimes forgotten about terrain.
Let me know what you think!

All silent auctions have been completed.
Yikui Niu the only rider with a price affected. All other riders go to the existing highest bids.
Air France - KLM lost Bouhanni having led within the final 12 hours, thus had the opportunity to sign a replacement rider. |

Well, I can say for certain that was the first time I had to do a silent auction, and it's cool to know it also was the only one that led to some additional action!
80k for Niu is hopefully gonna be acceptable, I expect to get that down to 50k next renewals, then he'll be quite an interesting rider.
Hadi minus TT but plus FL and ACC, basically.

Everything that happened this transfer season was a mistake. our one goal was to get a real GC leader, and we didn't. Another year of failure.
When your team that was a few points from relegation actually gets worse, that's usually a really bad sign. Unfortunately, that's what happened.
Fortunately, we at least have this to look forward to - or at least, if don't relegate and can keep most of them. I also don't know if I'm gonna train some of these guys remotely this way, but that's an issue for future me to figure out.
All I hope is I can avoid relegation. I reckon we have a slight chance with how unfavorable the market was, but not a great one.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

That's a very cool young core you are developing, awesome! I think you have a good shot at avoiding relegation, a better shot than you give yourself, with depth of scoring, but until I've seen the final DB I may be talking out of my ass a bit here!

Niu should be great. That combo of climbing and sprint had me interested in him, but my quest for leaders (which I didnt really even end up getting) sidetracked me a bit.

bbl, I would really like to wish you good luck, but I assume Kämna gets infinitely more available if you relegate, soooo......
Still, good luck! I always follow your endeavours and your admirable fight against the odds.

I was rather surprised no Asian team had bid on him this far into transfers!
Usually that kind of rider is a candidate for a super early 50k bid that goes rather unnoticed.
From experience, PCM 18 loves to hand out breakaway wins, so if he can get into a few, it could be a rather good investment.

Well, here it is. The 23 riders representing last year's PT winning team, but definitely not this year's PT winning team.
(plus Steimle)
training not included
I went into this transfer season with several options where to go from here, and in the end, I'm happy I was able to execute Plan A nearly perfectly.
Whether Plan A was actually the best plan though will have to be determined in a year from now.
I missed out on Kämna, but in return traded for even better (or rather more talented) riders than I expected to get.
Plan A consisted of adding as many Germans as feasible, while not overly caring about whether that would improve our points scoring, and (sadly have) to sell Kelderman to fund some training, which you'll find out about soon enough.
In the end, we got a German directly in return for every rider we sold, plus Steimle as one of the few German talents from Free Agency, which puts us at 10 Germans, up from just 6 last season.
Maybe at some point in the future, we will field a very competitive team of 8 Germans to help Herklotz win another GT! We may only lack a couple of strong pieces for that, and could even handle a TTT decently.
We also secured our #1 FA target Madouas, who will sort of replace Demare further down the line as our training focus and hopefully slow ascender to the Top 10 individual rider standings.
Niu and Spanopoulos are from outside of our focus region, but are great depth riders who should just about still accept 50k when maxed out.
We can't really afford to cover much depth with 80-100k wage riders with our two top earners.
Overall, we definitely got weaker. Possibly a lot weaker compared to others.
We expected and planned with that, but whether this team is worryingly weaker or still a safe upper midfield team, we will find out.
And either way, with 11 of 24 riders unmaxed and an average age of 25.83, the true identity of Team Puma - SAP is definitely back!

You'd have to think Herklotz and Demare should carry you through the season with points here and there from everyone else.
As always, a great team to follow and it'll be interesting once more of your riders are maxed out in the next couple of seasons.

Surprisingly I have you beat! 16/27 unmaxed and an average of 25.81!
As always a really cool and interesting team with you cio, looking forward to your follow-up year to PT glory and of course jealously watching your talents develop to 4.100 and beyond!

Minions 2019:
I'm aware of all the faults in the team, such as high age, Zepuntke's ACC (but he's been trained to 65 ), one-dimensional riders, low RES, no talents, no nationality focus and so on. Overall I think it's a nice team which probably means PCM18 will disagree with me.

I admit I don't understand why only Air France could sign a replacement FA. For instance, Puma were leading on Jonathan Lastra until 00:35, when Grieg overbid them. So they had been leading in the last 12 hours as well.
The same holds for stagiares Pier-Andre Cote (overbid at 01:29) and Enzo Wouters (01:51).
According to what roturn said here:

2) Yes, if your bid was leading with 12h to go, you can replace him if needed.
If you are leading at 00:00, you are sure to get at least a replacement rider. Have I missed a detail? Or did the overbid teams not want to sign a replacement rider? |

You answered your question there, it wasn't that only they could, but only they have requested one - others had more time to react to overbid and look elsewhere during transfers itself.
Ruminating on it, Aker will also be offered a chance for a replacement rider, since making an increased Silent Auction bid is a fair cause for an alternative alongside the lead in last 12 hours point.

I was offered to sign a replacement for Cote, but decided not to.

Having seen quite a few of the teams across the CT, PCT and the PT, it's pretty hard to separate many of the teams in different divisions.
Obviously the move to PCM 18 also makes predictions difficult as I, along with what seems like many others, don't really know who is going to be strong and who isn't.

I really declined during this transfers. I had like 11 sites of PM messages this transfers, while in comparison to that last year it was more than 20. And the transfer window didn't become slower for us really
