You know, I'm praying Guerreiro doesn't go to EF. They're not my stile, at all, and there's a history of riders moving there and failing to fullfil potential Frown

Do not agree. Lately weve seen EF improving talent. Higuita, Bettiol, Carty etc..
Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever.

____

WADA throwing serious shade at Spain, saying they have identified 11 cyclists who were discovered to have cheated in Puerto, but are not allowed to name them because of legal reasons. Sounds like they also found some names in other sports as well, including a couple of high profile footballers.
Directly blaming the Spanish lawyers and legal system for deliberately preventing WADA from getting access to the blood bags, preventing them from bringing actions to court, and just in general being purposefully unhelpful to protect their big name stars.

I mean, we all know who those names are  , the spanish court did order to destroy every single evidence regarding the Puerto case for some reason...

It's incredible that the spanish judicial system found a way to completelly protect this people, who should be held accountable for blatant cheating.

Not that anyone cares at this moment, but Bahrain has terminated Rohan Dennis’ contract (Trek? CCC? appealing rider, despite his troubled attitudes)

I think he's gonna retire since no team will want a rider who for a second time in his career terminates an active contract.

He's ITT WC, someone will take him on. Guaranteed. His issues are more contractual/equipment realted, not like he's a racist or a doper, so with the right contract and bike he'll be happy.

I will always have my doubts about Valverde !!!

Valverde winning in his late 30's/early 40's as if he was in his prime surely has raised some red flags - much like when Chris Horner won the Vuleta at the age of 41 ahead of much younger guys like Nibali

Euskadi-Murias will fold at the end of the season. :/ Oscar Rodriguez shall join Movistar, I presume.

Oscar Rodriguez won't go to Movistar due to the agent issue. I guess he'll go either Astana (same as Aranburu) or Ineos (same as Carlos Rodriguez) from the rumors I've heard.

Had no idea, actually. Astana seems fitting, though someone gotta fill Elissonde’s spot. Pfft

Could be Amador, who's rumoured to terminate his contract with Movistar to join INEOS.

https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/osca...or-astana/ Cool

Amador has the same Agent btw, that's why he's terminating his contract at Movistar and heads off to Ineos.

I don't like the idea of agents having a big saying on where riders go at the moment. I know CORSO manages a lot of young riders, for example the Portuguese talents are all linked to Axeon currently. However seeing how the Sosa deal went, now Carapaz, now Amador, I don't like how when it's a certain agent the rider are almost narrowed down to a couple of teams.

Another termination of a contract - André Greipel announced that after the Sparkassen Münsterland Giro he'll no longer race for Arkéa - Samsic. Considering that most of the rosters are done, IMO Greipel should hang up hiss bike.

I mean, this is a more probable hot take than your call on Dennis, but not necessarily for that reason.

Jose Gonçalves returns to Delko. I know his season was shit, but nearly 90% of Katusha’s riders underperformed, I hope he can find the legs he showed previously as the calendar suits him.

Then again, Delko hasn’t been amazing either but you never know.

First stage of next year's Tour looks very interesting.

That the sportive, but yes rumours were of Turini and Ezé for one of the opening stages so it's quite possible we'll see that profile in one of the stage.

Movistar signed Matteo Jorgenson (green jersey at Tour de l’Avenir). Weird move, an American was certainly the last nationality I imagined riding for the team. Any sponsorship behind this?

And Cameron Jeffers was taken the UK (only country that actually does it I guess) Zwift NC title after what can be called E-doping (aka assigning a false weight  )
