Kelderman is perfect for your team, excited to see him and Beltran go at it

A big boy for a big scrudge, Kelderman is almost as good as Siskevicius, so that's a solid signing imo

@All: I was a bit surprised there was a minimal reaction when the Kelderman deal was put up
@jandal: Still some way to go to become promotion candidates. I admit this is a good start
@YJ: For a team that doesn't rely on talent development, having the right talent for this deal to go through is a bit ironic!
@Sykkel: Thanks! And you're welcome
@viking: Thank you
@fintas: There was nothing really left for him to achieve in the PT after winning the title
@redordead: Must admit, Beltran was one of my fallback options! Can't wait to see their battles on the road.
@quadsas: So sweet of you
@knockout: Some work still to do, but we're off to a good start in the planned rebuild. Love the deal myself
Also, Van Lerberghe and Minali's future stats now put up in the previous post.

I'm very happy to have made the Kelderman deal with you, even though I clearly could've tried to squeeze more cash out of the negotiation situation I was in.
It just ticked all the boxes at once: he can become very successful in PCT and won't steal points from my riders, he can lead a Dutch team, and Meiler fits perfectly in my team and philosophy being a German future replacement of Declerq, who is the oldest rider on my roster.
Yellow Jersey was exactly right: you had what I wanted, which has become more important than what I need now that we don't have to chase the title anymore.
Good luck this season! I hope you'll enjoy Wilco, take good care of him!

I'll definitely take good care of him. And we plan to keep him for the considerable future. He really was my top transfer target this time, and I'm really glad to have got him
Was a pleasure making the deal with you too, and lucky that I had Meiler when I did. Look forward to possible future discussions as well.

Great signing in Inkelaar. I wanted him quite a lot and was tempted at points to do a late overbid on him, but ultimately the finances wouldn't allow it. Will be a very fun pure climber once maxed.

@knockout: We've had some good fortune in the FAs so far. Palini and Inkelaar are definitely very good value. Bovenhuis was a signing, but we like him too
@bbl: We love having Inkelaar on board and it is a perfect fit for us really!
@jandal: Glad you like them Was really surprised that nobody went back in for Inkelaar!

It has been a quieter 24 hours as we now try to fit in the missing pieces of the jigsaw puzzle that is our team. That said, we do have two exciting signings announce now.
Romain Bardet | Climber Domestique
Age: 29 | Wage: 80,000 He's back! Romain Bardet returns to the team after a year away with our friends over at Adastra - Hell Energy Cycling. His role for the season will be that of chief domestique to Marquez in all races involving mountains. He is also expected to get a couple of leadership opportunities himself. We're absolutely delighted to have him back!

Pascal Eenkhoorn | Talent | Level: 1.00
Age: 22 | Wage: 60,000 Two for two in terms of Dutch climbing talents! Following up our announcement of Inkelaar yesterday, we're delighted to announce that Pascal Eenkhoorn has also signed on the dotted line for us. We are looking forward to be a part of his development and his him reach his potential.

It was tough to say goodbye to Bardet, but at least got something in return - in the other direction went Hill and TT specialist Ramunas Navardauskas.

@jandal: We like our recent signings too Let's see where this gets us...
@ivan: We felt the same way losing Bardet to you guys last season, but it was a necessity then. We hope he'll be as good again as in 2017. Hope Navardauskas does well for you. He's a great rider, just that it didn't work out for us.

With the in-comings, there must be some outgoings and here they are...
Sergio Henao | Terms: Received 500,000 + Rider Swap The Colombian climber spent last season with us, picking up 600+ points, including wins in Pico Basile and Kenya. He moves to the PT to join our friends at T-Mobile. He wish him the best in his last peak season and hope to see him make a splash in the top division.
Rui Costa | Terms: Received 400,000 + Rider Swap Our leader in the hills last season, Costa leaves after having declined in ability. He joins Euskaltel - Elior in CT and will hope to lead their charge to promotion.
Ramunas Navardauskas | Terms: 400,00 + Rider Swap Another one of our signings last season, it never quite worked out for us with the current Lithuanian ITT National Champion. He joins up with Adastra - Hell Energy Cycling in the CT, in a deal which saw Romain Bardet join us.
Jarlinson Pantano | Terms: Received 350,000 Along with our Colombian lead climber, his Colombian super-domestique also departs to join our PCT rivals Andorra Project - InGamba. We were not able to get the best out of Pantano last season, and so believed it was the right time to move him on.
Lukas Meiler | Terms: Part of Kelderman deal Meiler has never actually ridden a race for us, and pre-season there was absolutely no reason to consider selling him. He was quite the management's favourite for his potential. However, when he become a vital part of the deal to bring in Kelderman to our team, we had to let him go. Not that he should be complaining, as he joins the defending Pro Tour champions Puma - SAP, where he should be well looked after.
A striking point to note is that every rider we've sold this time was signed last season and somehow they didn't completely click for us. With the exception of Meiler, none of the others were expected to continue with us at the start of transfers. Perhaps this is a reflection of our poor recruitment last term. We hope to have made the necessary corrections this time.

Nice signings. Especially Kelderman riding for a dutch team must make a lot of fans happy!
I hope our loan-outs Lienhard and Boudat are going to do some nice work for you! And we'll take care of Eenkhoorn, really a great talent you've signed there! |
