I am fine keeping things as is, but I would assume the European time zones got off lightly compared to the US and AUS/NZ, so their opinion should be more important in this case as some people there might have actually been affected depending on their schedules.

Imo not really required since no fas/deals will be sealed for more than 24h hours but if a single manager is strongly impacted by this, that would be enough to add +12 hours imo. If it happened later in transfers - even for a much shorter time - an extension would be necessary.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

To canvas opinion: would managers want 12 hours added to initial deadline timings, due to the website downtime. Or happy to keep as is?
Keep original timings for Deals and Loans postings. The lost time isn't that big a deal here really
Add 12hours to FA timings. Whether it affects a lot of people or not, if one person was negatively impacted we have to extend it. Luckily it has not affected me at all, but if i was and saw no changes i'd flip my lid beyond belief.

The time difference between the last bid before the blackout and the first bid after is 10 hours and 9 minutes, so if we're going to extend I'd suggest 10 hours to make sure those bids will be sealed at the same time as the current new bids.

edit 2: also, can we be sure this won't happen again at an even more crucial time?
No guarantee it won't happen again, but a temporary fix has been implemented by the server people that should make it more unlikely to occur.

Is it a bad omen when the site crashes between the time you hit reply and post on your team's first ever FA bid? |

Playing catch-up, I'm sure I've ruffled a feather or two
Oh, and @tsmoha, how can you possibly be so relaxed pre-transfer season?
My tequila shots were thrown back last night, only to not be able to make bids until today

Not much chatting here...
How are you new managers feelings so far?
Controll over the situation? |

Go to say I'm surprised just how quiet this thread has been so far, I'd have expected a lot more posts in here by now.

Too busy scrolling the DB. It's been a rather quiet start to transfers for us though. Don't really know where to lay my eggs at this year with nationality freedom. There are just so many riders to chose from!
How can you guys cope with all this many options?!?

Going in to transfer over salary cap does not give much room to join the action at FA market... |

Because in the first 24 hours, my 700 rider shortlist is now down at less than 300 and getting smaller by the minute |

You either wait for everyone to price you out of potential targets until you are left with a few or you pray no-one comes in for who you really want.

Yeah, fair enough. I'm kind of in the other side of the spectrum
Because in the first 24 hours, my 700 rider shortlist is now down at less than 300 and getting smaller by the minute
700? Are you being literal? I have 50 and struggling to add more

Yep, 700 - that includes riders under contract though, plus a large number of Level 1 riders who are impractical to sign as a PT team. It's basically every rider I've identified as stronger than my weakest rider on each terrain, currently and/or when maxed. |

Seems like you don't understand the definition of shortlist
