My guess would be Late Sep/Early Oct.

Are registrations/applications still open? I'm still hesitating... I'd like to join the game, as following the 2018 season was really fun - however, I don't know if I can fit all of the team-building stuff into my timetable...
If still possible, I think I'd send an application by Wednesday. |

It`s still open, yes.
Regarding your time table it would be good, if you already give some information about it in the application to see if it`s a potential issue. |

Sorry for the double-post, but the first post says we should "feel free to ask" in case of questions. Even though I don't know if I will be allowed to participate, I'd like to ask for some clarification:
- Are Stagiaires and drafted "Free riders" considered to be "full members" of the team, i.e. can you offer them a contract renewal at the end of the season, or do they return to the FA market after the season?
- Do I understand correctly that you need to fix the race schedule and goals for your team before the transfer season? (at least that's how I understand the FAQ)
- Is there a list of XP gains per rider level and race type available? The FAQ don't give a lot of details on this.
Sorry if I missed some obvious links that would answer these questions. I prefer asking too much than making some stupid rookie mistakes (if I'm taken). |

You can find lots of this information in the transfer rules: https://pcmdaily....d_id=50678
Both stagiares and free riders can be offered a contract post season but then for at least minimum wage.
Goals is before transfers as it also defines your budget. Plus giving you a hint what riders to aim for obviously. As new manager obviously a gamble.
The exact race schedule will come during transfers and afterwards.
XP stuff is in the stat gain thread: https://pcmdaily....rowstart=0 |

Thanks. I read the transfer rules before asking, but the status of Stagiaires and free riders wasn't clear enough to me.
So, the FAQ concerning calendar/goals is not entirely correct any more? As I understand them, first you would fix your schedule, then fix your goals, then do transfers. As I understand your answer, you first fix your goals (and thereby some races), then you do transfers and race scheduling in parallel?
Thanks for the stat gains etc. thread, I missed out on that one. It raised some more questions:
- Max. race days per rider: I understand this is in the columns PT RD / PCT RD / CT RD in the database. Correct?
- Max. race days per team: I could not find this information.
- In which order are XP gains applied? Or more precisely: Should a level 1 rider ride C2 races the first half of the season (until he reaches level 2) and then HC/C1/C2HC races to get the most XP out of it, or does the chronological order not matter?
- Wildcards CT -> HC races: These are mentioned in the FAQ, but not in the 2018 stat gains etc. thread. Do they still exist?
Sorry if I'm asking too much. I'll stop here for now and just wait for the MGUCI decision. |

1. Yes, riders have maximum RD depending on their team and division in which their teams are.
2. Teams usually have maximum race days depending on their division. CT teams have maximum of 120 race days, 60 of which are C2HC races.
3. IMO the race order doesn't matter that much for XP gains. Certain races give different points depending on their classification
4. CT teams can race in C2HC (all C2HC races are mandatory for all CT teams), C2 and C1 races without problems. HC races are more tricky - firstly, there must be enough spots left and even then you may not get wildcard spot.
I don't see any problem asking too much. IMO it's OK to ask in order to have good knowledge on the things. I'm wishing you luck in the ManGame.

Ok, going to clarify number 3 as ivan is right that it's not chronological, but there is an order
XP points are added in the optimal fashion - e.g. if I have a Lvl1 rider in the CT, and I send him to
35 C2 RDs
40 C2HC RDs
Then the C2 RDs would be counted first as they give him the most points at level one. Once he gets to level one (33 1/3 RDs) Then they are added in any order obviously as it's all level two from there. But they are added in the best possible order to maximise the points given by each race day. The 20XP for Tour de l'Avenir is added at the end and 20 is 20 regardless of the level (unless you're about to get to a barrier where you can't do that level this season )
And ask away of course There's also a questions thread somewhere, the Cont-Man-Game general subforum I think
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Avenir XP are the first XP points added to a rider. Every other point is added in optimal fashion
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!
