Perfect start by Oomen! Which probably means more responsibility early in the race for Anderberg and Amezawa, which will be nice |

Not a great start by Eg, but not too worried.

Weird prologue here with some random results.
Van der Poel did okay. Maybe a bit under his stats but much better than Kemboi, Ganna etc. |

Yeah that was a bit too random for my taste...Ganna got hit hard, but there's another opportunity down the road.
Cavagna with a decent ride, not stellar but it sets him up nicely for a potential green jersey bid if he can have consistent sprint results and can take points over Kemboi in the hilly stage too.

Good start from Brozyna. Hopefully we can get into some breakaway's on the next stages, that's were our chance for a stage win is, I think

Major with a very good sprint from a less-than-ideal initial position!

Great job Rémi! Exactly what I hoped for.
Oh yeah, these "surprising slowdown"s at the flamme rouge?
Get used to them. A lot of them. PCM18 often uses one or two riders less than necessary and doesn't know how to ration sprint train energy.
Also, don't expect the running order with 250m to go to be any sort of indication as to who wins and makes the podium.

Also, random splits on flat stages. You'll love em.

Noting to report for WCC's 3 participants on the Festina team, but was expected. Think the 7-man squad is well suited to BotD on the more difficult stages, just hope that we don't all block each other! .
