In despair of watching the might of ASO strike down on every little man around them I would have missed this Giro Rosa.
It hasn't popped up yte on VG but it's schedule and will most certain be ready in time.
I can only join saying it is indeed very very sad a big organization as ASO even have the time to do this petty things even when the fantasy league isn't pulling in money. What is surprising is that some Fantasy leagues on TDF are open and going and they even charge you money to play along. Have they paid ASO a fee or is it only that ASO haven't found them yet.
As IanRusell mentioned earlier is how many fantasy leagues are not going on in almost every big sport all over the world. Are they hunted too ?
ASO is and has always been a pity organization with the will to be big, their fights with UCI over the years show this. A desire to rule the world of cycling and everything within it.

The greatest irony of all is I'm going to watch more women's cycling than ever this July. Really looking forward to the Giro Rosa and some extended coverage options.
Take that heavy handed, chauvinistic, corporate, nearsightedness!

What a shame that the biggest stage race in the world will not be and probably never again will be on the Velogames. I still do not understand the reason, how it can affect ASO and what kind of "harm" can they suffer if Velogames TDF would be going.
On the other hand I completely understand George and his reasons for not running it. Its just disgusting.
Personally, I do not have much motivation for Giro Rosa or women cycling in general so I might just select some random team once again. I am not interested in women cycling at all
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Giro Rosa!
Was watching the race on Mortirolo back in 2016 when Abbott distanced the others by several minutes on the mountain, only to loose it all due to bad descending. Visiting the region again this year, and the timing is good again, as we'll get to see the stage that was supposed to finish with the Gavia climb from the Bormio side. Seeing the reports today, it seems like they instead will do Gavia from Ponte di Legno or Mortirolo. Both alternatives will only make the stage more difficult and brutal, with even bigger time gaps. Could be good to know for the Velogames game as well
Visiting the race feels like added pressure for the Velogames game, though! Especially as the time to put together a team is very limited, and today and tomorrow is travel days |

I cobbled together a giro rosa team last night despite being distracted by our American festivities, thinking I would fix it this morning. Ended up forgetting and now have no idea who I put on my team.

WooHoo. One of my random 4 point riders scored me 115 points yesterday which has bumped me up to 3rd in our league. Just need Chantal Blaak and Ruth Winder to do something now and all of my big money riders will have scored me some decent points.

League Table updated. Congrats to ember on his win and bonus points. He has extended his overall lead. Only Clamel and Ian Russell are in realistic catching distance (and that would require ember to seriously drop off in terms of points per race over the last handful of games).
Clamel has gone from not winning a single individual game over the previous three seasons, to winning 3 already this season. That also includes both of the women's races of the year. Looks like we have a new women's cycling expert on the forum, move over Manx
Looks as though we have a bit of a break now until the start of August which will see the Tour of Poland and the start of the Autumn Classics game.

Congratulations, ember I am very surprised how I’m doing atm on these races, Magnaldi, Labous were two incredible random choices, though going against Van Vleuten was indeed a big risk. But went okay. |

In general happy with my picks, eventhough I expected better results from especially Bertizzolo, but also from Ludwig. Also cool to see the overall winner of the Giro Rosa game be a rider herself, Elizabeth Banks. A pity she didn't pick herself seeing her stage win!
And thank you again for running the Daily competition, ringo. It adds another dimension to a great game, with our overall points counted different compared to Velogames' own season championship. And yeah, I guess something clicked this year with three race wins. It feels like I've been close a lot of times the previous three years, which makes it all the nicer to finally claim a couple of wins |

Yeah I think you got that name wrong mate. I had 1 win in 2016- 2 in 2017 - ZERO in 2018 and finaly this year got back to winning another individual race.
Still this year is the best overall for sure.
So obvious you ment ember not me since even if I did win the very first women race in 2017 ember have taken both this year. There we have the new expert on women.
BIG congrat to ember for the latest win.
And I'm happy that a poor Womens Giro for me didn't mess with the VG Season Overall standings.
