Hi guys,
For a couple weeks ago i started a thread about, how to make PCM08 work on a PC from 2018.
Sadly it seems imposible, so now I will like to buy a newer PCM because i like the game.
The reason that i like PCM08 so much is because, i had never bugs and trouble with it. I played almost 20 seasons in a row without problems.
So... hopefully some of you have bought PCM after the PCM08, and can recommend one of them. I really hope to buy a PCM without bugs, so i can play without crash. I have read some threads about PCM2018 and it seems to be really really bad, is it true?.
So guys, what is your experiences and which of the newer PCM would your recommend an old school guy like me, who hasen't played other PCM's than 05, 06, 07, and 08
I look forward for your answers.
Have a great day. |

PCM 18 was very good and it was very stable, the game has become much more stable in the last 2-3 years. So i would think that PCM 18 would take it in the same way, so i would coose PCM 19 or mabye 18 if you could get it very cheap. |

PCM18 is definetely a good one, descent and AI improvement is massive. If you're not planning on spending much and not a lot of time in the game is perfectly good, specially as you can easily get well developed 2019 databases. If you want to play quite a bit or hope at same time to still be playing next year maybe 19 is more worth it, typical yearly development but databases for 2020 will surely be there only.

Agree with the above. PCM19 is a slightly (well quite decently overhauled if you think you'll enjoy the pro cyclist mode a lot) updated version of PCM18, which is imo the best one (haven't experienced the classic PCM11 a lot of people love though ), with huge stability and AI improvements among other things. If it's a decent amount cheaper and you don't think you'll spend lots of seasons in pro cyclist mode, then I'd go for 18 over 19. As YJ said only PCM19 will get a 2020 database probably though. In saying that on the front page currently is a 2019 DB for PCM06 so who knows?

If you want a great cycling experience in game/gameplay and dont mind play with old squads/season PCM 11 + Full Cycling Manager (DB). |

Thanks alot for all your answers, they really helped me a lot!
I didn't know that 2018 was actually good, so i think i will go for that. It's pretty cheap on steam at the moment.
I have only heard good things about 2011, but it seems defficult to find in a download version, since my PC does not have drives.
I planning only to play in career mode, and in PCM08 i played to 2027 and played almost every stages. Do you think it will be possible in the 2018 version?
Again thank alot for your answers. |

The best editions imo is PCM13 and Pro Cycling Manager 7. I wouldn't recommend 7 as it's really outdated. PCM13 has the best mod content of any game and I would recommend checking it out, as those mods for that game in particular are fantastic. Low point is that those mods takes up alot of space and could easily make the game fill up to 60 GB. PCM18 is a fine choice, as it's got quite good graphics, but it's not a standout edition of the game imo

Oh PCM 13 with the mods was brilliant. I remember practically being able to chose each riders helmet, wheels and frame individually.

I ended up buying PCM2018. Damm it's crazy difficult.
In the 2008 i could win almost everything at any level.
In 2018, i can't even win with the best riders at level easy. It definitely has change a lot since back then.
Thanks for your answers and help.

Its just a different game, so your learning start from 0, but you will get it and then it is not hard.

it is not hard I play to extreme modded up to 1.10 coefficent and I can win giro flat stages with a 78 sprinter and mountain stages with 78-80 MON and I got 3rd at final. The first 2 years is easier, when u reach 3-4th season I noticed the average lvl of riders is better so a 78 MON is not enough to fight vs 84-85 AI mon with extreme 1.10 coeff. you just have to understand mechanics. When sprinting remember to forma train of 4 FLA-SPR3-SPR2-SPR1 , use ur flat rider at 99 effort from about -4.5km and launch the sprint with SPR3 at -3/-2.5 kms left. During MON stage use a teammate to protect your leader and use dot with max effort 85 up to last kms. plan your form peak for important races.
