I’m sorry but detective revealing himself is not a good idea AT ALL  Very glad it wasn’t either of you two before you remembered the strongman

Because town wins by killing mafia. How do you kill mafia? by knowing whos town. This is very basic strategy, know what role everyone's claiming, literally step 1 of winning a mafia game. And since roles are not revealed when person dies, why would he not come out? So what if he dies to strongman? It's 100% better (for town) for strongman to use his ability on night 1 than night 6 or whatever, when mafia needs a kill to win or they lose.

But why declare it before to be in real danger? Mafia has a kind of 10% to hit you during the first night, it doesn't pay well this strategy...imo it's very bad strategy, as I said it can be a bit useful if he is in lynch risk...or this is a very bad move with strongman alive

No it's not a bad move at all. Detective is a very weak role (compared to how people perceive it), it's way more likely for detective to be completely useless than actually find a mafia. Everyone not wanting detective to come out has gone into my naughty list already for being a) bad player, so I want him out or b) evil

Okay quadsas so you would rather the detective die now, giving us no info other than we no longer have a detective and actually no way to tell if the strongman was used (unless the doctor also reveals themselves, meaning he will then die on night 2 giving us no doctor and no detective) but probably he is out of the way; versus the mafia strongman still being in play but 8/9 chance we still have a detective tomorrow?
I don’t see trading the detective to remove the strongman ability as a good idea, and I really hope the detective agrees with me.
