Giro was great last year as well.
Brilliant stage. Great riding by Zakarin, Mollema and Landa. I <3 Giro.
Lopez totally done by the way, 4:17 behind Zakarin. Yates even worse, he arrived 5:00 behind Zakarin.

Indeed. Happy for that. I figured he was gonna crack really hard when he dropped off the break, but he rode the second half of that climb pretty fast while towing Kangert, maybe as fast as a few of the GC guys.

Awesome ride by Polanc as well. Definitely a Voeckler effect of having the jersey, but he put in a better performance than Yates.

Wow, so many things to say about this stage... Zakarin, Mollema, Majka, major throwback to 2016, Landa let the beast free and watch out for Carapaz. Sivakov, Madouas and Polanc with an amazing climb, Yates seems crooked, Lopez unlucky, they can hold on to what Froome did last year, major irony if the Brit can repeat it.  Nibali either too defensive or proud after his words about Roglic yesterday, or just not in a good day. Time will tell, but Roglic is comfortable right now. Though he shouldn’t be too passive otherwise he will have to worry with more rivals than he would have wished.

Roglič's team is non-existent so Lopez can gain a couple of minutes because it will be very hard to control like today with Zaka and Mollema, or with someone like Landa joining an all-out war, from which Lopez can benefit if he is strong. And he was strong yesterday so today was likely a bad day instead of being off form so I think he will be strong tomorrow.
