British Cyclists
Croatia14
As we are currently experimenting with adding more regions to the PCM game, we thought about british cyclists and wondered whether there is a fair share of them not from the English part. We'd like to ask on whether you know any cyclists from Wales, Northern Ireland or Scotland.

Yes, I'm especially looking at you, sutty

Froome is from the Kenyan part.

The endeavor itself seems beneficial and honestly overdue, considering there have been tons of French, Spanish, and Italian regions in the game for decades.

There are quite a few Welsh riders in the association's ranks, I will have a look through and get back to you Wink

We've already got quite a few and there does seem to be a lot of Welsh! Could do with finding more Scottish and especially Nth Ireland.

Overall the bigginst number is from England, it's got significantly more population. Wales is second, producing slightly more than Scotland. But both are way ahead of Northern Ireland which produces very very few riders. Isle of Man doesn't produce many, but they throw out quality ones and definitely the highest number as a percentage of population!

A quick flick through the current world rankings (and what i can remember of current GB track cycling) gives this breakdown---
England (28): Simon Yates, Adam Yates, Tao Geoghegan-Hart, Hugh Carthy, Chris Lawless, James Knox, Adam Blythe, Ian Stannard, Connor Swift, Daniel McLay, James Shaw, Alex Dowsett, Ethan Hayter, Matthew Holmes, Thomas Pidcock, Scott Thwaites, Daniel Whitehouse, Steve Cummings, Max Stedman, Ben Swift, Harry Tanfield, Oliver Wood, Kian Emedi, Charlie Tanfield, Ryan Owens, Joseph Truman, Philip Hindes, Ian Bibby
Wales (7): Geraint Thomas, Luke Rowe, Owain Doull, Scott Davies, Stephen Williams, Lewis Oliva, John Mould
Scotland (5): Gabriel Cullaigh, Jonathon Archibald, Mark Stewart, Jack Carlin, Callum Skinner
IoM (3): Peter Kennaugh, Mark Cavendish, Mark Christian
Northern Ireland (2): Marc Potts, Mark Downey

Womens cycling, you knew this addition was coming, the numbers are broadley similar. Although there Scotland definitely is a lot more equal to Wales in terms of numbers and quality, and Englands numerical advantage is a touch smaller but still comfortably larger. Isle of Man and Northern Ireland remain very small in numbers, way way behind the big three nations.

I'm pretty sure one of the Madison Genesis riders is from Guernsey, but it's too late in the evening to look up which one.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Thanks Manx that is a great list which we can use.

The Guernsey rider is Tobyn Horton, not sure if there are any other Channel Island riders.

Technically Dan Martin is also from England. Just chose to represent Ireland because of his family.
