Previously you could alter the number of newgen riders appearing each season by raising or lowering the number in the gene_i_weight table in STA_region.
However, I noticed that in the Daily/RSM DB, Kazakhstan only produced one pr. year. But their weight is 35, which is the same as previous years, where that would mean more newgens.

from PCM 2015 that value is not more available, I dont know if is it possible to mod the young rider generation, maybe it is hardcoded...
But if you put the value to 0, you stop countries from generating riders. So this can't be 100% true.

I look the STA region of savegame, i am not sure because i didnt test it, but it seems the column weight could be the value you are looking for...
there is gene_f_chance_temp_1_2 / 2_3 /3_4 /4_5/5_6/6_7 it seems to be the potential but there is not potential 8 so I am confused...

The temp one is temperature preference.
I tested it. If you put 0, no newgens will be produced. I then put the values 1,2,3,4,5,10,25 into different countries. They all produced 1 newgen.

you are right i m sorry temp is for temperature I was looking for gene_f_chance_pot but it is not there anymore. I am interested too about this topic, We can hope a PCMDaily DB developper read this topic and give us some suggestions
exactly 1 rider is created from each region. Most countries in the game are just one region in the game. In proper regions are divided only Spain, Italy, Germany, Netherlands and France, Belgium. That's where most of the new rider come from. If you want more new rider from Kazakhstan, then you need to divide Kazakhstan into several regions.

That is new, right? Also, terrible.
Won't that throw the game off after just a few years? I mean, if large countries like USA, Colombia, Australia etc. only produce one rider pr. year.
Well, I found out, that adding regions is pretty easy. So I added some more for USA, UK, Colombia, Russia and Australia, so they produce more new riders each year.
I think that works only before. You also have to edit the Local.cdb. and then in the savegame the pages Cyclist (region), Scouts, physican, sponsor, sponsor_regions, trainer. The effort is only useful in the DB file.

Thanks, thats as I predicted. Just thought its worth a shot. I dont care so much if existing riders/sponsors etc are given their correct region, but just that there are more future riders from those regions, since only 2 from Belgium every year is pretty horribly small and unrealistic. Surely if you sim 20 seasons, there would be a lot of problems due to a lack of riders over time not just for certain regions but for the entire cyclist database.

Hi, sorry for digging up an old topic but my rubbish googling skills can't find an answer to this elsewhere on the site.
I've been trying to add new regions to the DB file. I've been using fast editor (I don't have Excel so can't use Excel editor) I've been testing just trying to add one, here are the steps I took:
I added the region to the local.cdb file in the LOC table
Created the region in STA_regions, using the IDloc from the LOC table in gene_strID_name field
To test, the region I created was New South Wales, in country Australia. I didn't delete the existing region AUS, so I just copied across all the various stats, like Weight, gene_i_pos_x all that stuff.
I tested it by seeing if I could select the region in the Pro Cyclist mode. There's now a choice of regions, but the one I've created is displaying as blank. I presume there's something missing in the local.cdb but I can't work out what.
Basically, first, how do I get the name of the region to show when creating a pro cyclist? Then, after that, is there anything else I need to do to make sure new gens from that region show up at the end of the season? I don't want to play through a year only to find it still doesn't work!
Australia has ID 2001 in STA_region. Your new created Region from Australia must have ID2002.
In the Loc Table: Constant: Region_NewSouthWales: english: New South Wales etc.
But just one question, are you sure the Fast Editor did Save your LOC File in Local.cdb? Because you can not work with Fast Editor in Local.

Yeah, this was the problem. I've given up on trying to add regions and am trying other things now.
