It's kinda cool to see that Gasparotto is winning his third this year.
Boom's ride will be awesome too.

AGR () should be really cool again with a very nice startlist. Excited to see VDP of course but also Bettiol in the hilly stuff now his career hype train is back on the rails, Schachmann after his showing in Pais Vasco and last year (the fact of how good his last minute FW attack last year was gets overlooked) and with a new team, and Mohoric, and so many others too. Really could go any way this profile, from a reduced sprint to a small group to a soloist
Also, Bardet doing all three, I don't think that's happened before? (at least since he broke through)

Astana have plenty of cards to play. Lutsenko was superb on the first three months of the season, hopefully he's still got something to show here, then Fuglsang and Izagirre with a great Pais Vasco campaign and some good results here (I think) can spice things up. Schachmann can play a vital role, Bora can try some tactics with the German instead of playing all for Sagan, depends on how he feels, but he could profit from team work to salvage his Spring campaign. Then guys like Valgren who didn't show up for the cobbles could also have a word to say, crazy guys like VdP and Mohoric will definitely try something somewhere in the race... Boy, I hope this will be an entertaining Amstel.
And Hirschi to get in the breakaway and hold on until the finale for a top-10 finish. |

Thanks for pointing that out!
What I find most interesting about the startlist is that Di Data has the whole 2018 podium and will likely struggle to get a top5 this year.

What a difference makes from contract year and Astana to 2019. |

Astana have managed to hook Gorka Izagirre on to the backwheel of Van der Poel. So no reason for Astana to spend energy chasing for the moment.

All together again now. Couple of riders down in a crash, Lutsenko caught up in the crash.

Attack from Quick-Step now! Alaphillipe on the attack with a team-mate and Michael Matthews in the wheel.

That pace from Devenyns should cause some splits!

Jakob Fuglsang closes the gap to Alaphillipe and goes straight to the front of the race for Astana.

Sagan drops, now hopefully Schachmann can lead and show his stuff. If I knew this would happen I'd have picked him for Le Duo
