I looked for a Tour of Flanders juniors race but it isn't in the DB that I'm using nor do I have a stage for that. If someone has that stage available, we can add that as an option.
Right now the voting stands at
Portugal (if available) - 2
Stavanger - 2
Trento - 2
Charlotte - 1
Flanders (if available) - 1
I'm going to let everyone else vote on their choices till Sunday and pick the most popular one. Expecting to have RTG '17 wrapped up by the end of next week

Were you trying to share a stage screenshot because I can't see anything...
Reminder to vote for your favourite route for the U22. Will extend the deadline till Tuesday EOD.

I thought I had edited that post...I was not able to share the stage file I had...and then I realized it was a full stage file anyway.
Disregard the post. |

Stage for Flanders added...
Updated options for the U22 race can be seen here.
Unfortunately, Portugal, like Krakow, is out of the running now because I could not find the corresponding stage for PCM 16.
Update on the voting:
Stavanger - 2
Trento - 2
Flanders - 2
Charlotte - 1
Currently a 3 way tie for the venue, so whoever votes next could become the decisive vote! Today is the last day to cast your vote.

Will choose Trento, basically because every other route is cobbles

Flanders, of course.
Hills, cobbles, and a potential sprint finish.
Closest to an all around race we've got, IMO. |

Guess I’m counted as Charlotte? Would actually like that still but I’ll split the tie with a Flanders vote

Though honestly I wouldn't object to training having less of an impact. In this first season even just 1 point per training block would have been a decent deal (0.2 points per RD), only the Wilier riders scored more through racing (11/45= 0.24, 10/45=0.22). It seems prudent to book 3 training blocks again next season, even as the riders improve, but that'd be another 30 points which can't realistically be gained in 15 days racing.
I thought that was the point...early on we should be focused more on training rather than racing...otherwise the number of potential legendary riders will be too small.
Plus, the less focus on early results allows some rider type diversity which you wouldn't see if everything depended on early career results...
I half agree with what Ripley's saying and agree mostly to what Supernutz said.
The option of a free 30 points was given to everyone. Did I think our custom riders would be this poor? No. Did I think people would lap up the three free training blocks? Yes.
It sucks that some riders lose out. However with astute stat upgrades, the disadvantage can be overcome. Also remember that current development would still see every rider get a +9 upgrade. Only next year will it affect 5/6 riders, by when our riders will be much stronger anyway. And the GP calculation is restarted every 2 years, so you start with a clean slate in 2019.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The season is over now and I'd like thank everyone who played and commented and made this season a success. 20 active riders is probably double the kind of participation I was expecting when I started, so thank you again.
Congratulations to the Willier duo, Garin and Abdessabour for winning the RTG mini-league this season. Funny how all three team-mate duos ended up next to each other in the rankings. Kind of probably shows PCM's shortcomings with the same teams getting preference for breakaways for better suited stages. A big reason why I've been contemplating moving to PCM 18 for the next season.
Speaking of next season, I've basically got everything ready for the next season already and am ready to go with development and everything that follows. I do need a break till 23rd because of work and a mini-vacation lined up. Following this, unless people want a longer break to recharge their batteries, I could launch the new season in the last week of this month. I can promise some changes to the teams and the calendar already. Hopefully they'll make the game more competitive for our custom riders.
As usual, your suggestions are always welcome and feel free to keep them coming in the 'off-season'.

Thanks again for running it Abhi and congrats to the very visible Willier duo. Would love to see a quick turnaround

Good first half season for Abdessabour, hopefully he can develop inti a more consistent rider next season. Thanks for organizing this and enjoy your break, we’ll be back full steam ahead! |

I half agree with what Ripley's saying and agree mostly to what Supernutz said.
To be honest, so do I. Yes, it's realistic to let neo-pros ride less, and I can add another argument: For now, without training, the table would be solely dependent on breakaways and that is just luck.
I'm looking forward to next season, I wouldn't mind continuing fast, it takes little time to do the planning for just one rider.
