An exciting route for the opening stage, climber's terrain but sprinter's finish, maybe for a breakaway to succeed tomorrow is the most likely scenario.

Should have read your review before I made my Catalunya picks.
I am tempted to change, agree this race is set up perfectly for Valverde. I think from a Le Duo point of view there might be other places to use him with even more certainty.
Of course that was my logic for not going Alaphillipe on MSR and that didn't work out well. |

From a Velogames point of view this just intensifies my headache.
But good analysis, been reading the blog recently, useful detailed information regarding race routes and data too! |

Thanks! I must say the feedback has been amazing, specially on twitter, and here too
Ulrich you can change whenever you want, but the headaches are a part (I had Trentin who could've won and Démare who died), it escapes no-one

The sprinter's should contest the win between themselves tomorrow, but it will require a special kind. What is in for tomorrow?

The final set of cobbled classics begins tomorrow, it should be a sprinters affair and they'll come in heavy!

La Molina will host the last mountain stage, and with good ambush territory and lots of riders looking to take a bite, we can be in for a thrilling mountain ride.

I try to guess who will be in the break tomorrow. Big rolling day after the mountains means one thing, but can the sprinter teams prevent it?

Another day in the hills means another breakaway roulette. The wind make us sure, but in reality the stage is in the hands of Sunweb, find out why.

The final tune-up before de Ronde, plenty of specialists and an exciting profile, designed for an open race that will have everyone on their top to be able to win.

Jungels, after a mega attack with Van der Poel and Pollit who’s power engines will keep them until the end, with Matthews leading the pack for 4th place. |

A week in the Basque hills, full of rain and climbers around, with an Astana full of gold, take a look at who can disturb their sprint dominance.
"It will be a matter of who can climb very well and have the technique for the final descent above those who are nouned as good time-trialists." A stage for the strong or a stage for the crazy? Rainy time-trial tomorrow.

Gravel sectors, a tricky uphill finish, there's a lot that'll make for a stressful day out in the saddle, but in the middle of all this there's a stage to win and worthy GC contenders to go for it.

So, how can Alaphillipe be beaten tomorrow? And, can he actually be beaten? Tough call, but there are some things that may make for a dificult task tomorrow.
