Ruben Guerreiro gained a slot on the leader since my last reply - not bad.
If he keep that up, maybe I have to reply more often

Yes, please.
He is! Though he's further down than we'd hoped. Turns out Italy's climbs might be for the climbers with a better acceleration. He's been very unlucky in terms of daily forms as well.

Volta a Galicia (2.1) Stage 1/3, 118.8 kms
Maxat Ayazbayev showed he deserved the first mountain jersey dropping both Marko Danilovic and Paradzanai Stam on the 3rd cat. Alto de Castro. Ayazbayev also was the last man from the breakaway to be reeled in. We built a train for Carlos Barbero, best of the GC standings back in 2016. On false flat section inside the last kilometers, Ion Izagirre didn't notice our last three riders had lost contact. Carlos sat far back when De Buyst launched already on the right. He'd have a tough time just catching up. The two of them ended up being outsprinted by a strong Davide Cimolai. Barbero felt disappointed because he couln't do better than third place. Not bad at all, but of course we could come first in a mass sprint.

Volta a Galicia (2.1) Stage 2/3, 113.8 kms
The breakaway came to an early end with 55 kilometers left. Earlier, KoM leader Maxat Ayazbayev had bagged the mountain points on Alto Furado. Katusha sent several of their men to the fore to control the pace for their leader, Edward Ravasi. During the first pass on the climb to the line, Ion Izagirre and Eder Chávarri were both climbing well, near the forefront. The pack was down to 45 men on the last climb. Ravasi's last helper was Damiano Caruso, whose acceleration made Ion drop back into the mess. Chávarri's ultimate effort consisted of guiding Ion Izagirre back to the front. As soon as he had our leader was on his own, 4 kms from the line. When the pace dropped too low, Ion took the initiative. Caruso & Ravasi were gone but Tsgabu Grmay followed. When the Ethiopian was about to lose contact, Kiserlovski bridged. The latter even had strength to attack. Ion had no reaction, and Kiserlovski kept the overall lead in the team. It is good to see Ion Izagirre is the overnight leader in two classifications. Mitchelton Scott with a crazy strong team so taking 2nd is a great result. Hopefully you can take the win on stage 3.

I knew someone would have this comment in store for me.
Would've loved to win of course but Robert's also just in great form recently, as he's already secured the mountain jersey in Romandie.

Very solid result on stage 2 indeed. Hoping we can cause heart break for them on stage 3 as well.

Volta a Galicia (2.1) Stage 3/3, 94.9 kms
The last four survivors from the breakaway were swept up at the foot of the last climb. Maxat Ayazbayev landing KoM points on the road meant I. Izagirre had to pick up some on Monte Cabalar (11.9 km -- avg. 7.2%). Meyer and Grmay paced for Robert Kiserlovski. I. Izagirre looked ready for a head-to-head battle with the GC leader. The gap between 'em: 21". Ion had the legs to go faster than Meyer's pace. He decided to do so too. The green jersey was a bit hesitant to go all in already. He slowed down and saw how a group of 10 riders caught from behind. Just 2.5 left now. The others stayed in Ion's wheel, probably sign they didn't have anything left for an attack. Izagirre opted to up the pace under la flamme rouge. Might have been a little too passive, because Grmay and Kiserlovski both outsprinted Ion eventually. Crossing the line in third spot, he missed out on winning any of the two classifications he was leading before the stage. Maybe he should've pushed harder, he had a gap after all. But for all I know, he would have cracked and missed out on his second place as well. It's easy for me to be smarter from the team car, I'd better be happy with 2nd overall in his first race after some time off.

Giro d'Italia (2.GT) Stage 10/21, 175.2 kms
For some reason, several teams felt thought the breakaway of seven had to be caught early. Colla and his companions got reeled in with 80 to go. Not much happened next, as Bora, Sunweb, Bahrain controlled the pace. All together still when the beautiful historic city of Volterra popped up in the background. The 9km climb wasn't expected to cause big time gaps. As expected, Bahrain ran up the pace starting from the first slopes. Bailly and Fernández saw pink jersey Landa and a strong Demare sitting close. Davide Formolo waited until the road inside the medieval city center was narrow and tiled, before launching his attack. No splits had occurred yet, but a group of 15-20 men was about to go clear. Guerreiro sat in there. Swinging through the final corner, Formolo had opened up a gap. Ruben Guerreiro would very likely sprint for a good result on the stage as well. White jersey Rob Power came close, but Formolo felt confident enough to celebrate his second stage win early. Landa finished in 3rd whilst Ruben came 4th, his best stage result so far; and the end doesn't suit him most.
