How happy I am for Cio I also think it’s a big problem that we have created a rider that can go straight from the database to win a GT in his first season as maxed. Oh well...
For us it’s dissapointing to see stage after stage without us trying a breakaway. Today was the final points for us scored in the race.
wait for Miguel Angel Lopez...
True, although he probably needs atleast one season worth of training to win a GT...

Isn't he going to be trained as a punchuer?
Meanwhile, no Christmas miracle from Brambilla who continues his mediocre season.
Merry Christmas, everybody!

Ouch, low-acc Madrazo really shouldn't be following these all-out attacks at the start of the climb because it makes him fizzle out. He should have taken the Herklotz approach; setting your own pace and managing your energy to the top. Brilliant ride by him again.
Next stage should hopefully suit Madrazo better.
Merry Christmas!

Wow, great day for Beñat! Herklotz though what a machine. It looked like Phinney was going to be the day's winner, but that final attack from the german really turned things around. Could it be the first GT for the future Cunego? Congrats cio!

A very good team day! As expected quite large gaps on such a brutal stage, so very happy with Martin, Iturria and Stake Laengen today. The top 3 has been a different class so far in this race, so to be expected that Martin couldn't quite follow them in the end. Still clearly best of the rest and now in that 4th place. Would be a great result if he could hold that. Also very happy about being 2nd in the teams classification.
Amazing performance from Herklotz yet again. Silly good.

That was a great stage, very well reported and exciting. Herklotz is really having a great race.
It looks like Schelling is starting to slip here. I'm hopeful that he can hold onto a top-20 place, but he is really showing that he will only be a PCT-level rider.
Great work Aquarius!

This season is insane. I'm very thankful, but also very speechless.
I understand and share everyone's concerns. Even I would like to think that this is just an extreme outlier of a race.
Also I was kind enough to delay the apparently inevitable by another year at least...

A bad day after a good day for Intxausti. Still looking good for that top10 result but now I want that 8th place back.

Come on Madrazo, you can do better than this. These guys are strong and explosive, but they are nowhere near your climbing skill. I still expect you to show them in the next couple of stages.

Good enough by Martin again. Good to see him trying to follow Phinney and in the end not lose time to anyone close to him in GC. Not so good from the rest of the team, but okay-ish.
What a beast Silvio is. Just stunning. He's the deserved winner of this race now, but it's certainly not over yet.

Herklotz everywhere. Puma just doesn't know how not to win here! Congrats again cio. Alarcon denying everyone of KoM chances too.
I'd love to see a repeat of stage 11 tomorrow, but it's going to be very difficult to achieve that.

By now, I'm just waiting for Ashton Kutcher to jump out from behind a tree.
What the h*ck.
Thank you everybody, thank you Aquarius, thank you Silvio.

Ugh, sorry for not commenting. Really nothing positive to say about our performance here, so thought I would rather not rant after every stage.
Really dissapointing this. Was suppose to be the highlight of my season, the race I was looking forward to the most after planning. To get away with the KoM then without even taking a stage win is so utterly depressing. /rant over.
Congrats a lot cio, what a race Herklotz had even if he should lose lose the win now, what a beast! Kinda scary actually.
Thanks for all the great reports, Aquarius. Always exciting to see how close to the finish Alarcon is gonna get caught each time

Steady again from Martin behind the fab 3. Liked to see us being a factor in the bunch and in the end some important time gained on Kritskiy. Good stage, now obto the really hard stuff.

That's what I was fearing about this stage. Well, we still have our stage win and our top10 result. Just don't get worse than that please.
Two final MTFs to wrap this up. They should be good for Herklotz's showdown, but it would be great to see Alarcon and Galta take stage wins though.
Anyway, thanks for all the magnificent reports, Aquarius!

Could have been a very good stage for Martin with that attack, ended up a bit meh. Hopefully he didn't use too much energy. Congrats to Dev and Alarcon on a well deserved stage victory.
