Choi did decently here, and Iino picked up what Shikai lacked, so atleast we had 2 nearly in the Top 15 here.
Crashes are deactivated this season which is, now that I have reported quite a bunch of races, a good thing, imo. As we can see with guys like Velits or Shikai, there's still enough bad daily form or randomness to wonder about.. And it makes reporting races easier, too

Ah right, I forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder! Must have simply been a horrible day for him. Was hoping he'd lose under 4 minutes on that stage, so 11 seemed quite extreme.
Catching up on races having not had time the last couple of days.
First of +100% agreement from me that crashes off is welcome, as TSM highlights, there is still plenty of randomness, an aspect of unecessary major upheveal though removed.
As to the racing here, reading OHN first was real disappointing. ToME on the other hand puts a smile back on my face (eventually!). Stage 1 I had already commented on. Stage 2 not quite as good, but Lay and Cisse still at least sighted towards the back of the sprint prep, so was happy with the outcome from the first two flat stages. Hilly stage 3 was slightly disappointed with. Berhane there or there abouts with the majority of the stage race hitters, but losing a handful of seconds to many not necessarily welcome. Much better than Ji though, who lost minutes . Stage 4 though turned things around. Berhane had a good day, joint 4th overall being a couple of places higher up than we had been expecting. Not a massive overperformance, but welcome all the same. Ji had a quiet day it would seem, but as he head fallen behind even the bigger 'peloton' group prior to the start of the final climb, he seemed to make something of a recovery on the long final ascent to at least jump over a few rivals and a number of the puncheurs from day 3 overall. Gold star though reserved for Koshevoy in the break; great effort both chasing KoM points, and hanging on as best he could at the end to secure a much better overall placing than could have been expected. Across the 4 RD's this then suddently on the last stage becomes a very strong points haul in terms of ppRD from this outing. Well done lads!
Query (so that when I updae my HQ I get facts right), Berhane's 4th = (but listed 5th) is worth the average of 4th+5th points (as s.t.), right? Similarly, Koshevoy (listed 3rd) but equal with 4th in KoM also gets average of 3rd+4th? Cheers!
Thanks for the reports, and congrats to the podium dudes. Kudus holding of Plu-bear is indeed a surprised, Plu-bear needed to be much more aggressive once they had reeled the remnants of the BotD in - Signori hanging on to them for many kms indicates that Plu-bear should have pushed the pace much higher if he really wanted the win.
No such thing as a tied GC position as order is by sum of finishing positions.
Tied place points splitting is for Points and KoM. Sum of positions in tie, averaged, and rounded down. (Unless rounding would take it to 0, in which case it is 1).
Shame to see our win goal go down the drain, pretty big planning mistake by me to judge this as a proper hill/mo race, shame for Kwiat but 8th and a 3rd place isn't terrible as long as he can do better in his other races. We were also joining breaks, which is a good sign.
