I'm liking those line-ups! Edmondson will hopefully kick you off with a bang in Cuba, whilst I like the TDU entry with him and Carsi. Von Hoff should enjoy less top guys in Tachira along with Campero aiming to pick up some points, and if the wind doesn't pick up maybe Carsi can do something in GORR

Clasico San Cristobal Recap!
Amazing start to the season for the team and Joshua Edmondson! We had a great podium finish in the first real hilly test of the season as Josh managed to grab a 3rd place in the sprint finish and our first big result in a one day classic!!
As well as Joshua, we also had Nathan Haas able to grab 23rd place and Taylor Gunman finishing in a solid 27th place! Both will have their own opportunities to lead the team in the near future and show their great talent!
We are super stoked with the finish here today and cannot wait to continue this at the coming races this month with Edmondson, Carsi, Von Hoff and Campero each getting an opportunity to lead the team in the race for the GC and sprint stage wins!
We will continue to keep you all updated as the season goes on but this is the start that we dreamed of and can't wait to perhaps continue this trend in the future!!
Award | Rider | Position | Highest Finisher | Joshua Edmondson | 3rd Place | Surprise Rider | Jai Hindley | 67th Place | Rider of the Race | Joshua Edmondson | 3rd Place |

Big start to the season Jakstar! Congrats, you must be pumped. Edmondson is a very legit leader to have, who looks like he's off to a very good start to a big point-scoring year

Congrats on a great start for Edmondson and at least Gunman certainly played a role there, too. Pretty sure Haas or Gunman will add some better backup results here and there.
Nice to see Hindley mentioned! Must admit that I did scroll down the results to find him and was also surprised to see him as a solid 67th eventually. Obviously no special result, but seems like he at least managed to hang on for a while.

Edmonson in 3rd is a great sign that he wil be up there all season long and with his set of skills I wouldn't be surprised if he could snatch a big win!

TDU and Vuelta al Tachira Catch Up!!
This was one of the only times we were seen throughout the Tour Down Under. Joshua Edmondson would eventually finish 8th place on that stage (stage 3) and move into 11th overall. Unfortunately, the next day he lost 1'44 on the peloton. Stage 5 over Willunga Hill wasn't much better.
Joshua Edmondson didn't attack but did get into one of the front groups. He still lost over a minute but he did move up on GC but only to 22nd overall. In the end Cyril Gautier of Valio took the GC and no rider was in the top 10 for BNZ Cycling Team...
The Vuelta al Tachira is a different story! 3 stages in and Steele Von Hoff has not left the podium! Youngsters Nick Reddish and Narankhuu Baterdene have done amazing for Steele Von Hoff to get him a great position for the sprints! Day 1 and Von Hoff takes 2nd place and the sprinters jersey (Kip had both but wore the leaders jersey). Day 2
Another perfect lead out from Baterdene and Reddish put Von Hoff in the perfect position and he did not let his two young teammates down! Von Hoff held his hands in the air for BNZ Cycling Teams first victory of the year and Von Hoff's 2nd in history! Day 3 and the lead out struggled a bit today. However, Von Hoff's speed got him back into 3rd place for the day!
The whole team has not lost any time on the leaders and Campero is in an amazing place to strike! 7 days to go and the team intends to continue this winning trend throughout the remainder of this stage race!!!

Vuelta al Tachira - Into the Mountains
We dove right into the mountains in stage 4 and honestly, BNZ Cycling Team had a pretty good start! As you can see in the photo above we had two riders at the front of the favourites group and a third at the back not in view. This set us up for two riders finishing in the top 10 on the stage and taking up 9th, 10th and 11th on the GC. A great start for the team!
Von Hoff continued his great sprints taking 3rd place yet again on stage 5. Baterdene is really showing us his incredible lead out skills at such a young age! A top sprinter in the future for sure!! Roe and Aasvold were both in the front group however a split caused Campero to lose 1'18 on the stage. Aasvold and Roe both move up into 2nd and 3rd on GC respectively.
Straight back into the mountains for stage 6 and Pinot continues his dominance taking yet another stage victory! Further behind both Roe and Aasvold lose large amounts of time while Campero sat waiting to try and help these riders, a big communication mishap with the team on today's stage.
The mountain ITT and Roe (pictured above) had a fairly good stage taking 8th place and moving back up the GC rankings. Campero was even better though and takes 6th bringing him back to striking distance of the top 10 on GC.
Stage 8 and a big group into the finish. Pinot takes the stage and the 3 BNZ leaders stay in the group! Aasvold and Roe take 5th and 6th, respectively, while Campero just sits in the group coming into the finish.
The final mountain stage and Campero attacks trying to make up time! He stays out a very long time however it wasn't meant to be. He still finishes in a strong 5th place, 1'37 behind winner Pinot. This put Campero into 10th on the GC with 1 hill stage to go.
The final stage and Aasvold in the break today. It got caught fairly early when Teuns attacks. He takes the stage win in the end with Pinot taking the GC and the Points, Ratiy takes KOM and Henao with the youth (Schultz finished 5th in U25). Campero held onto the top 10 and honestly not a bad start to the season for the team!!
Award | Rider | Position | Highest Finisher | Piter Campero | 10th Place | Surprise Rider | Timothy Roe | 12th Place | Rider of the Race | Narankhuu Baterdene | 120th Place |
Campero takes out the highest finisher award! Tim Roe surprised us all with his high GC finish and great work throughout the race! Finally, Baterdene takes out Rider of the Race due to his amazing lead out's to get Steele Von Hoff his victory and multiple podium finishes! Baterdene is a rider of the future and will 100% lead this team in the sprints one day!!

Looks like a nice dual effort between sprinting - stage win and GC - 10th.

Some nice work in Tachira by three (!) GC riders and Von Hoff as well makes it some happy hunting for you, shame Campero slipped in the high mountains Loving the reviews btw, keep it up!

A few different leaders this month! Let's see how good the depth of the team is!! Gisborne GP is this month which will give Edmondson and ourselves a chance to race in our home country and our main goal for the season! We believe Edmondson can win that race with his fine form at the start of the season! Let's hope lady luck agrees!!!
We look forward to this month of racing!!

Great Ocean Road Classic - A Failed Goal
We were surprised too, a breakaway win in the Great Ocean Road Race is unheard of! But it happened! We managed to deliver Carsi to the finish to sprint for 3rd. He couldn't do it but we believed that a top 15 would have been achievable right?
Carsi unfortunately ended with a disappointing 16th place, 1 position from our goal and unfortunately this means we have failed our first goal of the season.
We still have a very long way to go but this isn't the start to this race that we had hoped for. Still, a long way to go and we believe Carsi will be able to grab a win later in the season! This goal, FAILED
Award | Rider | Position | Highest Finisher | Mustafa Carsi | 16th Place | Surprise Rider | Luke Mudgway | 79th Place | Rider of the Race | Nathan Haas | 24th Place |
Carsi, obviously the highest finished. We were happy to see Mudgway helping the team out. He is going to be a huge asset in the future! Finally, Haas as the rider of the race thanks to his amazing help getting Carsi to the right position to try and sprint for our goal. Moving forward both Carsi and Haas will get an opportunity to lead the team!
Stay tuned for more!!

Tour de Langkawi - The Tour Saved by a Rookie!!
Stage 1 was the prologue and a complete disappointment. Our guys were still in striking distance but we didn't feature at all with our best finisher in 33rd with Scotson.
Stage 2 was much better! Von Hoff had a great wheel for the finish but unfortunately lost it about 1km out. He managed to fight back and continue his great start to the season with another top 10!
The same couldn't be said for stage 3. The first mountain finish and we knew Aasvold might not be contending but he ended up losing 4'01s and finishing 23rd on the stage. Not the greatest start for the team, but could be worse.
Stage 4 seemed to be a struggle. Von Hoff again had an amazing wheel but lost it...He then got boxed in and could only manage 13th place on the stage.
Stage 5 is the second mountain stage and we feature at the front with Reddish in the breakaway! Unfortunately the break got caught and Aasvold was unable to stick with the front runners. He took 47th place.
Stage 6 wasn't too bad for the team. Reddish was in the breakaway once again however he couldn't hang on. Von Hoff managed to get into 6th place in the sprint at the end of the day and achieved another top 10!
Jai Hindley is the legend of the Tour! He got right into the breakaway during stage 7 and pushed himself to the limits! He attacked near the end and out sprinted a strong sprinter Arthur Vichot. Jai saved us in the tour and grabs our second win of the season and his first of his long and promising career!
Award | Rider | Position | Highest Finisher | Lorents Ola Aasvold | 42nd Place | Surprise Rider | Nicholas Schultz | 62nd Place | Rider of the Race | Jai Hindley | Win x1 |
Aasvold led the team and did quite well for the first time! Schultz continued his nice season and continues to finish quite well and helping out the team's leader and all times! Hindley was the rider of the race grabbing the win! A great tour from him and he saved our race!!!
