With breakaways taking the later sprint stages and Küng's crash in a key moment on the penultimate stage, it all went down the drain
To only make it worse, I forgot the Vattenfall deadline, and thus have my quick pick draft team as my team for the autumn classics, meaning there's a lot of "wrong" picks there, including Gaviria who didn't race in Hamburg
Great to see Freitas close the gap, which makes it even more interesting to follow towards the end of the season |

BBT with a very encouraging start was a total mess, Jakobsen and Pedersen DNS Kung crash, Valgren underperforming on his stages...from top10 in first two stages to over 20th position.. bleah!

Congratulations to Freitas on the fine win, turned out to be very difficult to predict. What was it one bunch sprint when I was reckoning on 4?!

Am I the only one thinking George is trying to avoid any legal issues again with ASO so he is naming this as "Spain 2018"? There is nowhere to see any "Vuelta" name on the page |

I can assume that is the main reason, yes. |

Table has been updated.
Despite an encouraging start Ember faded at the end and only picked up 1 point over Ian who maintains an 8 point lead at the top. The big winner was the winner, FreitasPCM, who has jumped into the top 3, 26 points off the lead.
The big loser was Timo who scored 0 points and dropped out of the top 3.
Still plenty to play for going into the final 3 games of the season. It will all be decided in Spain, Britain and the Autumn Classics!!!

Cheers George, loving the game as ever! Now if only I could find another 4 Velocredits in Spain (while maintaining the rest of the team) I'd be happy...

My team is in. Aiming to sneak into the top 25 overall by the end of the season. I'm lurking about 10 points behind 25th place at the moment.
