PCM 18: General Support

Haven't tried the msi file. Should I give it a go. Is there any different between exe and msi?

I downloaded the new lite pack db.
However after starting my 2nd season in pro cyclist, i now see that all mountain points and sprint points has been taken out of the game.
I downloaded the package cause i wanted to play a game, where there is new routes in the pro tour every year(there is right?), but i must also say, that not being able to win neither sprint or mountain jersies, is ruining the game mode.
Beside that races aint locked until you make certain goals which imo also is a part of that game mode, it didnt really bottered me since i already went through that once.-

But is me who done something wrong in the installation, is it possible to fix, or will i h ave to chose between playing the same stages over and over, or not being able to win any other jersies than the yellow?
Must admit neither of the options really tempts me

If in pro cyclist, my rider has 75% tireness but 100% freshness, does that influence his performens, and where should tireness be before a grand tour?

Lowest you can whilst still being at close to top form. Usually around 20% I find it to be the lowest ammount of fatigue with starting a GT in top shape, that was in 17 tho, not sure if 18 is exactly the same in terms of that.

So what I understand is that the mountain stat is used alone until 85 and hill alone from 94. Inbetween is a mixture.
So if I have a great TT rider that is good in hills but suck in mountains, will I then be forced to ride with 94 effort over short hills just to use his hill stat? That will obviously use too much energy and I will have to ride the rest of the stage with 55 effort (a guess - haven't tried).
If I just stay at 76 effort for example through a prolouge or a time trial as I usually do, will I then use my mountain stat over small hills?

How do one get a new sponsor in career mode? I'm at July 31st season 2 and once again it just says that this is the last day to renew with my current sponsor and I can't continue without doing so. But I havent got any other offers from different sponsors?
And its not like i haven't been showing good results(leading the Wolrd Tour and Superprestige)

Is this a bug or what is going on?

Also is it just a new feature that you can't negotiate on the exact goals for the season at the beginning og january?

Third season in a row where this has happened to me as well.

Does equipment and wheels have anything to say regarding performace of the riders? Or is just for looks and coolness?

Hello everyone!

Is it possible to run the game in windowed mode? As I can recall in PCM17 I can set it up on "options/display device" or at least alt+enter worked. But now it does not work.

I've noticed that my riders perform actions on their own sometimes, where do i disable this?

by default your riders are set on "automatic strategy". So you have to give them a manual instruction first (like "keep position"Wink

Is there any way to influence how many races teams subscribe to in Pro Cyclist Mode? I usually play as Hagens Berman but they are barely registered for any races. Maybe caused by PCT teams not being eligible for U23 races but it seems like the WT teams always subscribe to far too many races and the PCT and PT teams too few. I've tried DB's that add teams and races but it just seems to give more races to the WT teams.

In pro cyclist mode, I think it is you that needs to subscribe to races. I actually think that your team is properly registered for enough race, it's just that your rider don't participate in them.

And in the race schedule, you can use the points to get registered for more races.

I know how to subscribe to races but sometimes the team I use isn't subscribed to enough.... I didn't have any races in June/July other than NC. And if you check the DB WT teams are registered to 85-100 races when IRL they participate in far less. The problem exists in career mode as well.

Well, okay. Then I don't know.

I've seen on YouTube that there must exist (a shortcut for some kind of) an overlay with a detailed view on the stage profile. This really would help a lot since the stage profile in the lower right corner is very small and not zoomable (?). The shortcut tab in the i-menu says F2, but that only makes the rider control panel (in)visible. Could anyone tell me how to open the bigger stage profile?

For the overlay press spacebar.

As for the stage profile in the lower corner, you can zoom by holding the cursor over the profile and hold either right mouse button or mouse wheel button down.

Can anyone help me with where to find the budget for next season in the editor (I'm using fast editor). I have found the table GAM_career_data but that only the current season.
