I know it's a while since the TDF ended, but here is our post TDF update. There have also been added some riders and done some minor changes. All questions should probably be asked to Tafiolmo, as he is on charge of stats. Enjoy!

Just a minor on the last cdb I looked at. King Lok Cheung (5293) is placed in Polartec and that is wrong I think. He is out of Orica and back in HKSI, so in this DB he should be free with no HKSI team present.

Some words about the stats and questions here.
1. Difficult time in the stats team as we have less people being able to work on them for different reasons.
2. We've had to change to a new format which caused some communication and technical issues.
3. Other DB team issues
All of the above made the current stat.the most difficult to get out and if there are any errors it's down to me.
As for questions.
Marco, stats in general are done taking last year into account which is why for example Uran at 80 mtn still holds good, Kittel and Cavendish though are different problems Kittel clearly off form most of the season so a drop of some kind is due. Cav on the other habnd is so off form that we needed to make an even bigger drop. Greipel on the other hand may well have remained too high.
Also we are thinking (once we get numbers on the DB team back up and stability) to actually revamp the stats matrix by stretching it out so that the top stats are even higher like 83 and 84 etc and the reason for this is that in some testing (mostly career) a number of the big GT men didn't perform so well and also sprinters in the 70's who we know are good didn't do so well etc, different things like so.
All this will need testing and maybe included in the main EP release when it comes

Is it true that the Stats-document in the first post isn't updated, or did I overlook something? |

About going 83/84 on stats, are you wondering doing that in TT and PR stat as well? I say this because recovery and peak form seems to make GC riders with low TT and PR, losing almost no time. I mean Landa won the Prologue of Vuelta 2018 in my career mode, although it was simulated. |

I think i got the right file but there is very few changes as i can see besides Thomas up to an 80. Roglic proven to be the best one week specialist this year and i been waiting what stat he would get once he finished this Tour but he seem to remain unchanged, really? Same stat as Henao and even Kruijswijk and Mollema has higher climbing stats, Roglic beat them all year. Roglic, Dumoulin and Thomas was the three strongest climbers this year without a doubt but only Thomas get any improvements.
Zakarin also remain 80 mmmkay. Quintana kept his stat even though he not performed since he came in second GC in last years Giro.

I said "we" meaning the PCMdaily community, so the db squad and all the other users
Years later you're still triggered against me, go over.

There is clearly a problem here and a problem with the file as there were a lot of changes.
Roglic is much improved and clearly on 80 mtn and Zakarin is now on 79 mtn with lower backup stats and Mollema 78 mtn for example. The problem is that there are too many stat files floating around atm
Also the changing of the stat matrix would affect all stats so yes TT would be included

I'll mention it to the DB team (those that upload the files) and hopefully will get sorted out soon.

The thing that always makes me question databases with matrices under 83 is the following: How does one combat the fact that PCM's Pro Cyclist limits are hardcoded and not changeable in any XML file? Lowering the matrix while not being able to lower the limits of Pro Cyclist makes it feel like you are playing on easy? In the third year, your rider is 83+ in a certain attribute while the others are unable to reach that high? |

Pro Cyclist mode is an easy way to play to PCM, even with the official db. Playing it for 10-12 years, I rarely encountered regens with 84-85 in a stat, and when they had it, they had also really bad backups. The best regens look in general more like Daily's cyclists than Cyanide's cyclists, with their higher stat at 82-83 and their lower stats at 65-66.
I don't know anyone playing to Pro Cyclist mode wanting to be challenged. You evolve too much and too fast, and the only solution to avoid it is to use an editor. If you use an editor, why not lowering your Pro Cyclist to feel #challenged ?

Yeah, he keeps progressing and as he's going to Trek next year, 74 SP and 74/75 ACC won't bother. I would more give 74/74 or 73/75 as Soto seems to have launched his sprint too early, and Moschetti only beats Aberasturi and Barbero that isn't fast anymore on flat stages. It remains a strong performance for a really regular season.
