What is PCM Career Explorer
PCM Career explorer is a tool that will load your cycling manager savegame.
It will give you a lot of information that is not accessible in game, or in a more friendly or different way than it is offered in the game itself.
it also offers some "modifiers" so you can easily change teams or nation, change the game date and many more
it's not a cheat-scouting tool, that's why you'll find that most stats are not really visible, but abstracted by bars and descriptions (star - favorite - outsider).
Potential is replaced by a 3-step colorcode, and lists with best cyclists in each role and best youngsters are shuffled with even an option to hide obscure and currently unknown U23 cyclists.
So you have an idea of who is the best, what are they good at, what U23 cyclists are possible stars, but you don't know the exact stats, it gives you the information any good manager has in real life without knowing everything and all the details.
Support
A few editions back I've released this for the community.
Since then, I've added and changed quite a few features and screens, and I wanted to share this with all of you.
But I'm going to be honest from the start,I will not have the time to support this. (my first daughter will be born within the next 2 weeks). Also please know that I've developed this for myself and at the time wasn't planning on releasing this to the public, so everything was developed so it would work on my laptop and to my own desires, nontheless I release it because some of you might find some use or fun in it.
I own a surface pro, which has an unusual screen ratio, I did not develop this to be adaptive, so on some screen resolutions / ratio this might not render as nicely as in the screenshots on my laptop.
Special feature
I wrote a tool that screen scrapped the stage information of thousands of PCM stages and variants, so I believe for most stages now available (and variants) I have the info in my tool. You'll see in the screenshots and in the tool this information was very usefull for me and I've used it in quite a bit of screens, for example: You can see in the race overview how many flat stages, hilly stages, mountain stages (and if it's a top finish etc) there are in the TDF for example. You will also be able to historically see where the world championship was held and what the profile was (and offcourse who won it, ...)
I've also created a fictional ranking that re-instates the world cup, (monuments and classics just below that. Monuments offer more points offcourse)

Tips and tricks
- most of the previous versions should also be supported in this tool.
- Cycling manager throws away the detailed stage results about a month after the race is done, if you regulary open your savegame in PCM Explorer these results will not be lost because PCM Career explorer saves all the results in it's own database. So in october you will still see the results of individual giro stages, and the "Race Summary" screen will still work (show you who won each stage and who was the leader)
- you can click on a lot of text, they are actually links. (team names, cyclist names, race names, header in cyclist screen, ranking - like 5th in world tour will take you to world tour ranking-, .. and right click on names in a grid view will most likely give you a popup that takes you to a linked screen
- You can set pcm career explorer as default program to open .cdb files
- To show you the stage-by-stage evolution (called race summary) of stage winner, race leader, point leader, mountain leader and young leader the game uses the default xml files of PCM18 to determine how many bonifications are awarded at intermediate sprint and finish. If your database uses updated xml files or u are using an older version of pcm you can copy the files from the PCM directory xml/classifications the classifications folder of PCM explorer

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box. |

I see this is when you try to change national team.
You can only change it after you've chosen one in game, I think it's somewhere in february the game let's you choose? |

edit: I see your private message, this is Pro Cyclist mode you are playing, the "change national team" is a feature for the normal career mode, where you can change the national team you are managing, it's not a feature to change the nationality of your own cyclists. |

You can use the PCM Fast Editor to do what you want, It's a very fast and simple to use tool.
Load up your savegame, and in the Cyclist table, change the "region" or "country" of your cyclist (I don't know if it's currently a region or country that is linked in the cyclist table) |

Yes it should work with one-of races, but only if there are multiple stage days (like a tour) Because Cyanide clears a lot of data in the saves when the race is completely over |

Hi, I'm sorry for being away, my daughter was born july 12th and since than I haven't opened pro cycling manager anymore (When I'm going back to work, some free time will come around during my lunch breaks )
In attachment you can find a new exe (overwrite the old one in the pcm career explorer folder). It's a first version of the screenshot I've shown you in the other topic.
There's a lot on the todo list left (configure per cyclist the max days you want them to have, re-plan automatically when a cyclist is injured for some time, ...) but it's a good start and saves you a lot of work already.
