@BenjiNaesen. I am using this DB aswell, thanks for all the effort. I was wondering. I read somewhere else on this forum that people have problems with the transfers and signing new riders. One person suggested that this could have to do aswell with him using the PCMdaily DB. Do you by chance know if the transfersystem works with this DB? |

Surprisingly nothing to do with either Daily DB nor ours. According to Cyanide employees, it is because some teams aren't assigned important territories in some database, but that has been debunked because it still doesn't work if they have those.
I'm hoping for a game patch soon. First they'll have to figure out what they did wrong though. |

Ah oke. I also just tested it for myself. Simulated untill august, and had no problems with signing riders or renewing the contract. |

We haven't changed a single TdF rider to 83 or from 83 since stage 5... Not sure what you are talking about? |

That picture says 81 with Viviani... Everyone here is talking about Viviani? Has this discussion suddenly changed to Gaviria or what? I'm super confused. |

Hmmm, but who do you mean then? The only way to make a workshop database realistic is to have 83 as max stat. If you do lower, the regens will annihilate everyone.
Our current 83 riders (in main stats) are:
- Froome 83 MO
- Alaphilippe 83 HI
- Terpstra 83 CO
- Dumo 83 TT
- Dennis 83 PR
- Groenewegen and Gaviria 83 SP
So that's only 7 riders. I don't really understand how "too many riders at 83" is an issue but I'm open to an explanation.
The thing is, if you don't put riders at 83 in a workshop database. The game's extensive growth for young riders will let them overtake the 83 riders in no time. Having the riders up there is the only way of making it actually realistic?
Again, open to your opinion, so expand it so I can understand if you'd like. |

Is it impossible to make 82 maximum for current ones and the regens ?

I'm not actively into modding, so i may be wrong here. But you can change the regens progression values and potential maximum in the xml-files located in \Xml\RiderCarac as stated here by user Blueprint:

Hist last revision is here:

EDIT: This post might also be relevant for existing young riders development: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread...st_1304264

Obviously not necessary, but I believe there was a way in past years to edit the young rider generation XML's so you could lower their matrix as well, and therefore keep the matrix from being swamped with tons of huge talents later on.
Not even sure if it's possible in the current game version or especially as you say, on the workshop, but it's worth a thought. I have very little idea of how this game or the workshop works, so I trust you guys over me any day.

No, we can't touch regen xml files through the Steam workshop. Hence why we are forced to keep the 83 maximum to keep everything as realistic as possible.
Nonetheless, it's also way more realistic to have riders spread out from 50 to 83 than 55 to 82 for example. Gives us the ability of adding teams like Ningxia and Qinghai at a lower rating, while keeping the result of world tour races as realistic as on television (although AI and PCM's bad simulation system makes that hard sometimes).

It is impossible to touch xml files through the Steam Workshop. Our DB's main motto is "Huge expansion for the game with one click installation."
We'll keep it that way because that is one of the reasons our db has been the most popular for the last 3 years. We don't want to force (for example for our current database) 10800 people to download an xml file to have realistic gameplay. They'd murder use. |

See message above about xml files.
TLDR: Impossible through steam workshop. Cyanide's planning better integration for the workshop next year. |

Ah, that's a shame. hopefully next year they'll be able to implement better control over that kind of thing. For now, I think the matrix makes sense.
