Congratulations to Lukas and many thanks to Alex, it was interesting to see how things panned out
Scarily I barely watched the Tour this year. Not helped by my anti ASO feeling following the Velogames litigation threat granted, but clearly my interest in this particular race lends a lot more to Velogames than even I realised.
Also a reminder of the fund raising Velogames site - if less than 10% of those entering the last fantasy TdF competition were to give a pound each George would hit his funding target but thus far he is only just over half way there

Thanks Ian. I appreciate it from you |

Looks as though the Autumn Classics race will be going ahead. This will be a double point game. Looks as though the first race to be included will be the Hamburg Classic on 19 August. San Sebastian will not be included. Keep an eye on this thread and the velogames site for updates.

Yeah, but initially it seemed that San Sebastian will be also included

In his tweet he seemed to imply that the Tour de France debacle had taken up his time and he didn't have time to get the Autumn Classics race set up in time for San Sebastian. At least there is something to replace the Tour.
The Vuelta is still on the list of races TBC. Probably about 50/50 whether or not this race will go ahead.

Of course, I am glad that there will be Autumn classics format. At least something new and a small replacement for Tour. But I strongly hope that Vuelta will not be affected. It would be shame to have only one of three grand tours on velogames

Congrats Banesi on your Portugal win. I'll update the league table shortly.
Meanwhile, the Binckbank Tour starts today and the Autumn classics Game is due to open shortly. It's a bust couple of weeks for the PCMDaily Championship.

Close finish at the top Congratulations to Banesi! Now for BinckBank, where I am expecting some unpredictable results too. |

Binck Bank will be a tricky one. Kind of nice to just put up a team in a rush there, as it's always a difficult race to predict, and especially now with the Ardennes stage gone.
With the TT coming early and the decisive GC stage at the very end, I went with a sprinter/TT focus, as picking the overall winner with the final stage in mind feels very difficult, especially when the points it gives are less than normal for GC riders in a week-long race.
Also interesting to see the overall standings in the PCM Daily league. I guess this is the point where all we that have come closer to ianrussell start to fade one by one, as it feels like our consistency lives on borrowed time compared to his, as he has shown year after year that he knows how to score decent in any race |

League Table updated. Ian's lead is down to just 9 points following Embers Bonus points in Portugal. 5 players picked up a bonus 5 points in the race.
Looks as thought we are going to get a proper title challenge this season. Usually Ian is about 100 points clear by this point. The new Autumn classics game, which hasn't been done before, makes things even less predictable and more exciting

Ember leading at the Binckbank Tour. We could see a new leader at the top of the leader board at the end of the week

Must admit I was very confident after the TT, as I expected to get "free points" for the GC 1-2-3 until the final stage, but yesterday's breakaway success made it wide open again, I think.
The GC points given after each day was reduced quite a lot compared to the 1-2-3, and it feels like the "risk" of Campenaerts caring less about the GC on the final stage is bigger, now that he doesn't sit second anymore, as trying to defend a 6th place doesn't sound as great as defending a 2nd place.
But we shall see, at least it's fun to be up there with Ian |

Will wait for the final startlist but it does seem to be some interesting picks.
Also, can’t believe my literal final minute swap gave me the win in BinckBank Tour, King Matej you hero. |

What happened Ember? Congrats to Freitas on his win.
I'll get the table updated ASAP. I think Freitas may have moved up to make it very tight at the top. Could be a very interesting run in this year.
