I started a career with an own team. I have to sign new contracts now for the next season, but my best riders dont want to stay in my team although i have good results, cause they say they are not interested in my team. I tried several things with a database editor, but couldnt find a solution. Does anyone have a workaround for my problem? |

Maybe there's an attribute for teams which you can view in the database, where a team's status is on a scale from 1-10 or something like that. If your team is a 1, I guess it'll be hard.
I have no clue if this is the case, but I think it sounds very probable. |

i tried various careers with Trek and always loose Degenkolb, Pedersen etc. and then stop the career.
I can not get a single good classics guy or a sprinter. Literally nobody above 77 wants to join my team. I can not sign a GC Rider either.
Also tried this two times with a custom team, but the results are the same.
I am playing with the PCM.daily db |

Hmm I hope this is not a frequent problem, I'm currently in my first year with mu custom team... Really enjoying it and definitely have some riders that I would like to keep. Would be a shame to say goodbye to them |

Haven't got PCM 18, I heard the transfer mechanics changed, but even in older editions holding onto and hiring riders could be problematic. For example, as a top WT team offering a rider 20% more than he's asking for - and instead he'll sign with a weak CT team.
Using an editor to stop this: Before the transfer seasons starts (21st of June?) you can load your save game into an editor and go to DYN_ccontract_cyclist and add a year or two to the current contract of riders you don't want to lose. If the rider has already signed for another team for next season there should be a 2nd entry, change that to your team. If it's late October and the rider's already gone you can change the fkIDteam (back) to your team, also do that in DYN_cyclist. In every case I recommend saving the save game/db under a new name and loading that, check if the changes worked.

I'm playing with Mitchelton-Scott and it hasn't been too annoying for me at this point. The Australians in the team have been willing to stay, though Ewan unfortunately didn't want to but at least he went to be the main sprinter in another pro tour team so it doesn't seem too bad. Also both the Yates brothers didn't want to sign after the first season but it may make sense from the game's perspective in some way. They signed for Trek (who were increasing their budget) and LottoNL-Jumbo so again career wise I didn't find it that bad. At least they don't end up in some irrelevant continental teams.
I've been able to sign some pretty good Spanish riders (Spain is the 3rd important country for the team). Many Australian cyclists have been willing to join from elsewhere. But the best riders in the game have shown no interest yet.
One thing that I suspect might affect it is the team index. In both seasons I've played I haven't had the best riders signed for next year, so I'm relatively low on the team index list from the pro tour teams. After this season I have a few riders who have developed quite a bit and are signed for next year, so I will see if the higher ranking helps with riders showing interest.
In general I think they should decrease the need riders have to leave teams though. It doesn't make too much sense if a rider is the captain of the team, wins a grand tour, is very satisfied on all metrics and then they don't even consider signing. Some riders being greedy in terms of salary would be alright. From what I understand if the team preference is "no interest" towards my team, they will not sign no matter the salary. I didn't try any absurdly high amounts though so not sure if you can sign even those types of riders

Yes. You can not sign "no interest" riders. Tried it with 150k instead of 30k and the rider still does not want to stay.
Interesting that Trek got Yates. I am playing with Trek and Simon and Adam show "no interest" at all.
This "bug" really takes the fun out of Career mode. Won´t start a new one before this gets fixed. |

From reading the Steam PCM forums it seems it's a common issue and will likely get changed in a future patch.
I guess if it happens even with Quickstep then it's not about the team index even. |

I still have this problem. Tried a new career yesterday and every rider like 77 and above shows "no interest". I now have no GC Rider, no Sprinter. Just a team of domestiques. Really hate this bug |

with what db are all of you playing? because with the default db and a standard realname(so just name changes) the transfer system works just fine(Resigned Terpstra and signed Dumoulin and Thomas with quickstep). But with the PCMDailyDB I also have this problem, so maybe there is a certain value in the DB that is causing this? |

Looking on steam, it is a known issue to Focus and they have fixed the issue in a beta update you can download. Alternatively, you can wait for official update released.

I just started my third season today with Sunweb and didn't have any problem signing anyone I wanted. So probably this problem is really related to custom teams? |

I never saw this "no interest" statement, could you make a screenshot? Just to make sure it's not something else. The worst I've seen as opinion was, that they didn't want to sign for a team where a "rival" is. Like at Sunweb I had Dumoulin and Froome considered him to be a rival, so he didn't want to sign. However, even with that statement, his approval bar went up as normal when I increased his salary. I just didn't want to spend like 200k wages on him, so I canceled the negotiation. But if I wanted to, I could have bought him.
So not sure what you mean when you say the rider has "no interest". |

Really never seen that. And in that case you can't make any bids? |

You can. The bar just never turns green, although it is full. I even tried 500k just as a test. No chance to sign these riders.
Maybe it is a PCM.daily DB only problem. I do not play with the default or other db´s. |

Hmm I am using the WorldDB, will check this evening if I have the same problem with this DB. Will simulate all the races (before making a good save). |
