Dumoulin looked like the strongest, but Landa really played into Thomas' hands - the leadout, and seeing Dumoulin slip to the back of the group. Then G aced the final turn while Dumoulin had bodies in the way.

Nice to have a duel between riders up a big climb. My preferred result too, if not many others Pfft Glad that Dumoulin did at least gain on Froome though as well. Want to see a 'Thomas' of some description winning this.

Curious to see what exactly happened with Nibali, Roglic. Definitely too many motorbikes in one place after Froome attacked. Caused by a third party of some kind surely.

Looked like Roglic was dropping beforehand iirc and Nibali picked him up on the way back. Nibali definitely got taken out by a spectator, looking at the mayhem. I'll guess we'll know by tonight.

Nibali told it was a motorbike, not a spectator

In this case we'd have a precedent
"He made a bigger comeback than Easter Sunday."

Not sure that rule applies at all on mountain stages - certainly not from that far out.

Btw Tom D may have actually chance. Before Giro he had only 12 racing days in legs while Froome 16. Maybe he also planned double but secretly :P

It was indirectly caused by idiots with flares though. They made so much smoke no one could see a thing.

Is it not the same situation like 2016 with Porte, Froome and Mollema? Froome even started running and still got the same time.

I think that one had more of an impact on the race with a group of riders going down instead of only one rider. I know it's not fair, but I don't think it was fair what they did back then either.

So? Both had an impact on the race. Fuck double standards.

Kruijswijk hero of the day..

And Dumoulin way stronger than I thought.
Thomas is looking good to win the TDF though...Who would've thought. That Barloworld team in 2008 wasn't so bad

I think our old April Fools' joke backfired heavily...

Will Geraint Thomas be pulling a Yates, though? We all thought Yates had it in the bag during the Giro...

that april fools joke was just a preview of the inevitable future

it's going to be follow the crowd or get left behind

All in for Landani!

Can't believe the bad luck for Nibbles though. Apparently a vertebra fracture.
