Most of them have already abandoned. Gaviria, Greipel, Groenewegen at least. Kristoff currently 2nd in points competition.

Riding over the back wheel, i.e. Nibali was already down (Or falling at least)

Thomas > Froome by miles... for me as in who I want to win ^^
Even tho I despise Sky Thomas learning curve actually makes sense. He didn't really come from out of nowhere like Froome.exe and you can see he actually has an upbringing in cycling. Just the way he took that last corner goes to show his sublime technique.
But our hopes and prayers are for Tom now.. If only he didn't have that puncture on the Mur stage. Also Froome attacking right as Nibali crashed? Coincidence?

Ah, misunderstood. Letting my perspective blind me.

There's only one reason Thomas is here and that is Sky. Why would he go against what made him

Pretty sure Nibali was trying to follow Froome's move when he crashed

Laporte currently 32 minutes behind, 5.8km to go. he might be out as well
Pozzovivo and Demare also close.

Well he hasn't had a Froome like rise but until a couple of years ago he was not remotely a climber. Was always a good classics/TT/track guy and now he's won two Alpine stages (a little more like Wiggins then Froome). Still he definitely has always been skilled on the bike.

Ye it's more Wiggins-like, agreed. Froome just came out of nowhere and then was suddenly one of the best but Thomas has always been a skilled bike-rider, albeit it being classics before. So I think he would have the right mindset to become a GT-rider losing the extra kgs.

Dumoulin looked like the strongest, but Landa really played into Thomas' hands - the leadout, and seeing Dumoulin slip to the back of the group. Then G aced the final turn while Dumoulin had bodies in the way.
Nice to have a duel between riders up a big climb. My preferred result too, if not many others Glad that Dumoulin did at least gain on Froome though as well. Want to see a 'Thomas' of some description winning this.
Curious to see what exactly happened with Nibali, Roglic. Definitely too many motorbikes in one place after Froome attacked. Caused by a third party of some kind surely.

But Wiggins is also extremely shady, but he was smart. Only win 1 tour and no-one will accuse you of doping.

Not saying it is not shady. Just saying it isn't as shady as Froome.

So just caught the end of another circus stage - what happened to all the A list sprinters, climbed off with time cut unrealistic or about to be definitively timed out now?

Wiggins is just as shady, but in a different way. Wiggins set himself goals and he fulfilled them within close times.
Tour win - check
ITT WC - check
Roubaix - almost check

Looked like Roglic was dropping beforehand iirc and Nibali picked him up on the way back. Nibali definitely got taken out by a spectator, looking at the mayhem. I'll guess we'll know by tonight.

Nibali should get the same time but he won't because he isn't Froome.

Nibali told it was a motorbike, not a spectator |
