Basically, every rider is available for the right offer and the table above is pretty much our current list of availabilities which will change depending on my needs and the first signings. We appreciate all offers and will be happy to talk with everyone about every rider although some riders will require offers way above fair value. Please feel free to hit us up with every slight interest as plans can change quickly and this won't be the final look of things.

Oh you gotta love the Evonik guys. What a team. Availability list looks very interesting as well! Team goes for gold it seems. Or for dark red and white?

Transfer window is the place where Evonik shines And then they shine on the road. And their jersey shines too
Expecting more 'shining' all season long!

Looks to be an interesting transfer season for our good friends at Evonik once again.
Doesn't look like there will be many business opportunities for us this year though, but who knows what will happen when the window opens and the winds start blowing.

Dont put the presaure on me. I know well enough that I've been very lucky in many situations - both in transfer windows and on the road. Time for others to shine
atlantius- Its interesting for me because its the first time where i dont have a clear idea what i will do or the need to do a lot. I have a couple of ideas that i want to try but some of them look rather unrealistic to happen. I could end up retaining 13 or 14 of my 14 riders but i could also do a couple of huge deals. It wiIl depend a lot on the market and the ideas of others and i have no idea what will happen for me.
And i agree with you. This might be the first time in years without any sort of deal between us but a lot can happen in transfers and previous talks between us were pretty smooth. It would be a shame to give up the "Valio Loan out of the Year Award presented by Evonik" uncontested so who knows

Your everything is possible strategy has served you very well in previous transfer seasons, and I'll definitely follow your actions closely this time as well, as there's always a lot happening with your team in transfers
And seeing MAL has two dots of availability, I'm sure we'll talk, especially as it's always nice talking with you in general during transfers |

I agree, the talks during last transfer season were a lot of fun and I'd be glad if we could repeat that
I remember who was responsible for forcing me into cap acrobatics so I'm by no means surprised about your interest in MAL. I dont think he will leave but i hope the two dots will encourage talks in case other domino stones will fall into interesting directions

After riding in the same jersey since 2015, Evonik - ELKO will ride in a different jersey for the upcoming season. The 2018 jersey combines our style of previous seasons with the colors of the Latvian flag and represents our ambition to further develop Latvian cycling. The jersey is a product of the Aidan&Hoyle Design Group and we thank them for their work.

Transfer Update #1: Latvians
As the only professional team in Latvia, we obviously see ourself as the perfect place for young riders to find their strength and develop. Hence we quickly offered some young Latvians a contract for the next season with the mutual understanding that the partnership will last for longer:
Armands Becis | 27 | 50.000 FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | XP | 74 | 68 | 73 | 69 | 73 | 75 | 73 | 68 | 74 | 74 | 78 | 65 | 74 | | 4.100 |
Becis is the most experienced of the new signings and he is one of the most versatile riders you'll find. Depending on who you ask you will hear that he is either a puncheur, a rouleur, a sprinter or all of it and he also is our best time triallist, does well on the cobbles and climbs well. He's a real jack of all trades if you ever saw one.
Kristaps Budenieks | 23 | 50.000 FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | XP | 69 | 69 | 71 | 63 | 69 | 72 | 68 | 70 | 69 | 70 | 71 | 72 | 61 | | 2.0 | 73 | 69 | 74 | 63 | 72 | 73 | 69 | 74 | 69 | 70 | 75 | 72 | 61 | | 4.100 | 69 | 75 | 75 | 63 | 70 | 75 | 72 | 70 | 69 | 74 | 75 | 72 | 61 | | 4.100 |
Kristaps Budenieks is a young latvian who is equally versatile to Becis. We will follow his season closely to see where his strengths are but we could see him as a very versatile classics specialist or a strong domestique on all uphill roads among other things.
Martins Blums | 23 | 50.000| Loaned to DK Zalgiris FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | XP | 71 | 68 | 69 | 66 | 67 | 69 | 67 | 63 | 64 | 64 | 66 | 77 | 69 | | 1.0 | 74 | 77 | 74 | 73 | 74 | 74 | 74 | 63 | 64 | 65 | 67 | 78 | 76 | | 4.100 | 72 | 77 | 77 | 67 | 70 | 73 | 74 | 63 | 64 | 71 | 74 | 78 | 70 | | 4.100 |
People might only know Martins Blums as a world class mountainbiker in his age group but he wants to make the transition to road cycling. He is the biggest climbing talent in Latvia since Andris Vosekalns and we're looking forward to seeing them race alongside each other in the future. However, he will ride in the continental division for the new Zalgiris team from Lithuania during the next season to learn to ride in fast moving peletons.
Baltic Cycling Connection Two of our riders will join Martins Blums in Lithuania. We're very sad and happy at the same time that Evaldas Siskevicius will leave our team. Sad because he was an incredibly important member of our team and Toms Skujins will surely miss his most important domestique during spring season. Happy because Zalgiris and Siskevicius is a match made in heaven and it can only be benefitial for baltic cycling if two Baltic teams work together to develop baltic cycling. We wish him all the best on his future endeavors and the door will be always open for a return.
Our super talent Miguel Angel Lopez joins Blums and Siskevicius for a year long loan and we are excited to see them ride together. We expect him to pick up enough skills to be a real threat in 2019.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Transfer Update #2: Latvian Star Potential
While the three previously mentioned Latvians are mostly allrounders with potential to be solid PT riders we also have found a Latvian with star potential: Ingus Eislers might already be older than most talents but he still has quite a lot of room to improve. He is the type of strongman sprinter that we like and he survives climbs better than most sprinters. This season he will ride solely for experience but starting next season he will be an important asset for our leadout train and in 2021 he will be one of the most unique and interesting sprinters around. We're glad that we could sign him because he was our number one free agent priority this season.
Ingus Eislers | 29 | 216.000 FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | XP | 73 | 67 | 66 | 59 | 72 | 74 | 68 | 56 | 75 | 72 | 64 | 61 | 59 | | 2.10 | 79 | 68 | 67 | 59 | 76 | 79 | 75 | 58 | 82 | 78 | 64 | 62 | 63 | | 4.100 |

tsmoha - If i could create myself a sprinter he would look a lot like him. Obviously with a slightly higher acceleration but this is as close as possible to perfection. Absolutely loved him when i opened the DB
viking - Only one year on top hurts a bit but i'm thankful for every single year and honestly, his 31 year old stats are great value as a leadout and his 33 year old stats should still be useful so it's okay i guess.
