The riders that have left the team are:
Guillaume Boivon | 79 SP, 80 AC | Nordstrom | Antoine Duchesne | 77 HI, 79 AC | Respol - Netflix | Charles Matte | 75 MO, 71 TT | Argon 18 | Zachary Hughes | 75 MO, 73 HI | Argon 18 |
It makes me very happy to see 3 of these riders going to other Canadian teams across the man-game world especially Charles Matte (homegrown probably would never have been used without us maxing him) and we wish them all the best this season.) That Being said.....
RBC Having taken the action of becoming a more worldwide organisation during the latest transfer window with the sponsors unhappy with regional talents wage demands during the window the look for talent across the globe started.
Signings
Tiejs Benoot | Cobbles/Punchuer | XP: 3.39 | € 200,000 | Potential 2
| FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FI | DH | PR | Current | 70 | 73 | 75 | 62 | 73 | 73 | 72 | 75 | 69 | 69 | 59 | 66 | 62 |
We're excited to announce our first signing of the window in Cobbled and Hills talent Tiejs Benoot. Tiejs was on the radar of the team from early in the window and we showed Tiejs we were serious about him on the team with a big opening offer that no other team would match.
Tiejs fits the managers philosophy of having riders that perform on 2 terrains and we look forward to his future.
Tao Geoghegan Hart | Stage Racer | XP: 2.32 | € 125,000 | Potential 5
| FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FI | DH | PR | Current | 67 | 71 | 70 | 70 | 70 | 70 | 69 | 62 | 62 | 68 | 69 | 69 | 70 |
Tao is one of the first well rounded young stage racers on the planet. With no stat for his talents weak he will eventually make up into a good rider to top 15-20 in any GT and be a superb domestique for Taylor Phinney in the years to come.
Jack Burke | Stage Racer | XP: 2.00 | € 110,000 | Potential 4
| FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FI | DH | PR | Current | 68 | 71 | 71 | 67 | 73 | 71 | 75 | 55 | 60 | 67 | 73 | 70 | 67 |
With most of the old brigade of Canadians going out it's time to bring another one in. Jack Burke has the talents to be Canada's finest stage racer of the last 10 years (since Ryder Hesjadal) and could even exceed the talents of Hugo Houle and David Boily. We had to have him and after waiting till over teams had set a benchmark we made sure we got him welcome Jack!
Leonardo Basso | All-Rounder | XP: 3.00 | € 60,000 | Potential 4
| FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FI | DH | PR | Current | 71 | 66 | 69 | 70 | 74 | 71 | 71 | 71 | 70 | 67 | 60 | 68 | 70 |
Sign another Van Zyl why not?! Leonardo will probably be a more cobbled tt version of Van Zyl and with a sprint to boot he's going to be here for a long time. |

Magnus Cort Nielsen | Stage Racer | XP: 4.100 | € 105,000 | Potential 5
| FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FI | DH | PR | Current | 72 | 77 | 74 | 72 | 76 | 75 | 74 | 60 | 54 | 71 | 65 | 64 | 72 |
With a bit of budget left we bought in young Danish Stage racer Magnus Cort Nielsen to give us something we haven't had before on the team in another stage racer capable of top 20 in a Grand Tour and going for the King Of Mountains. Magnus will more then likely lead us at two grand tours this year wherever Taylor Phinney doesn't go and is better in the mountains then what we had already. At 25 there's potential for training later in his career to make him a top 10 contender. |

Another Stage Racer Part 2
Tyron Giogieri | Climber | XP: 4.100 | € 65,000 | Potential 4
| FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FI | DH | PR | Current | 65 | 78 | 73 | 66 | 71 | 74 | 70 | 60 | 55 | 67 | 67 | 61 | 67 |
Signed with the intention of being a stop gap in-between the now and Jack Burke and TGH hitting their peak. Tyron along with recent signing Magnus Cort and last season signing Thomas Bonnin will provide more help in the high mountains then has been the case for Taylor Phinney, Tyron in particular is a better rider then Bonnin and we expect him to be able to last too the last 20 on most mountain stages.
Early pathways have been decided for our talents all are just rough guides at the moment and most are not for sure especially Benoot who has many different paths. Burke isn't on here yet because I have no idea what to do with him at the moment though stage racer is likely.
Tiejs Benoot | Cobbles/Punchuer | XP: 3.39 | € 200,000 | Potential 2

Tao Geoghegan Hart | Stage Racer | XP: 2.32 | € 125,000 | Potential 5

Taylor Phinney | Stage Racer | XP: 4.100 | € 1,100,000 | Potential 7
| FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FI | DH | PR | Current | 73 | 83 | 77 | 83 | 77 | 74 | 76 | 58 | 72 | 75 | 68 | 71 | 83 |
The Absolute leader of the team for the 3rd season running. Taylor has been a top 3 rider in the world in each of his previous two seasons with us. We don’t see much changing with his schedule this season with 1 GT and the big TT races all that will be in his plans. Before another shot at the WC ITT after a Silver Medal last year.
2017 Results:
2nd Tour de France (2x Stage Wins)
1st Chrono Des Herbies
1st Praha Karly Praha
2nd WC ITT
Danny Summerhill | Cobbles | XP: 4.100 | € 575,000 | Potential 6
| FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FI | DH | PR | Current | 78 | 66 | 73 | 59 | 76 | 72 | 69 | 83 | 70 | 73 | 81 | 73 | 59 |
Danny had an okay season with us last year with top 3’s in a few classics and that’s about it. He still managed a good overall points finish but did not have a great season just a good one. The team has taken some of the blame for not having a Cobbles team built around him. That will not be an excuse this year with 5 Dedicated Cobbled riders to look after him. Benoot, Naud, Laporte, Young and Corwin with the first 3 all good riders in the hills which should help a lot in Ronde and Appia were Summerhill is most likely to have a shot at winning against Bewley.
2017 Results:
3rd Ronde
6th Paris Roubaix
7th Strada Appia Antica
Hugo Houle | Cobbles | XP: 4.100 | € 275,000 | Potential 5
| FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FI | DH | PR | Current | 78 | 66 | 75 | 69 | 76 | 71 | 79 | 65 | 79 | 78 | 70 | 69 | 69 |
A slightly improve Houle this season. Hugo is the 3rd leader on the team. Not at a great ProTour leader level Hugo is improving with every season and should have his best yet. He’s suited by long Flat stages that are hard but end in a big bunch sprint and his aim will be Milan - San Remo again this year after his 7th and 5th in the last two years. He will also take in a Grand Tour again this season hopefully with better results then last year. Finally one change in Hugo’s plan this year is no Hilly races in order to maximise is Stage Races and hopefully take some hard flat stages.
2017 Results:
5th Milano San Remo

Well this is it around 9 years later countless transfer season and however many hours trying to build a Canadian super-team this year will be my last in the Man-Game. Honestly, I don't have the time anymore what with growing older as most of you have probably noticed I'm no longer active here and I've really fallen out of love with cycling for the past two-three years.
This is not important though I just want to thank every single one of you that made this game amazing there is way too many to name but SN and Roturn deserve a special mention you both made this game amazing, frustrating and every emotion in between. To all the reporter and all that put work in behind the scenes. To every manager no matter if you outbid me or talk transfers you've all been a pleasure to share this wacky world with. From Said Haddou winning my first ever race, David Boily winning at The Tour Of Utah, Romain Vanderbiest at some race I can't even remember the name of and The GOAT Taylor Phinney it's been a blast.
Take care of yourselves guys and all the best in the future Man Game and Real World

It was seen from a mile away sadly. Can't explain enough how massive of a help you agreeing to transfer riders to me that have been integral to my team has been. The Canadian cycling legacy will live on with me even if it's not as a primary focus for the time being.
Summerhill and Phinney going to free agency is going to really spice up some people's plans.
All the best to you Jt!

Thanks for everything jt! I really enjoyed our transfers/loans and all our chats regarding the off seasons. You will be missed for sure! I definately get you though. Time is getting sparse, also for me, and you have to do the priorities. Obviously, when the interest in cycling in general starts to fade, then it will also be very difficult to keep up the interest in games such as this.
Nevertheless it was a joy to get to know you, and play this game with you for this long. All the best! And let the battle of the Phinney begin!

Quite a pity to see this project leaving the MG. Was quite a successful one from CT to PT and in especially with Phinney having quite some success.
Losing long term managers never is good but unfortunately happen from time to time and it`s totally understandable to leave when interest/time is no longer given enough to fully enjoy the game itself and being able to contribute.
So thanks for being a good part of it for so long and your team surely will be remembered. |

Such a great project i've always been a fan of, and in small ways tried to emulate over the seasons. I don't want to see it end, especially having been in a very similar position myself earlier in the year seriously considering saying goodbye.
