Argentina have the worst sportsmanship of any team in this World Cup. I don't know how the ref added only 4 minutes after the 2 min goal celebration and the penalty review and complaints. I also think consistency with the penalty calls is needed because that one tonight not given was more clear than the one against Cedric yesterday which was.
Croatia making 9 changes to their starting XI and still managing to win shows they've potentially got what it takes to go far here.
Garbage attitude shown by Argentina today. They were playing like a team without any purpose..
Also, idk if you saw, Maradonna (which was probably stoned with dope or something) showing middle finger when Rojo scored..
Not to mention the penalty which was more than clear.. this is bullshit man.
Hope France will demolish them. |

It was by far the best performance Denmark have had during the WC. BY FAR!
That people dislike the tactics usually shine through, but from a tactical point of view it was an almost perfect match. We came for 0-0 and got it - against a world class opponent. Both Peru and Australia tried to get the same result, but failed. Peru tried a bit harder to win, due to their defeat against us - That was out worst performance btw.
IMO the worst match of the tournament was Iran - Morocco. A game with two teams trying to play at twice the speed they could, hence throwing the ball away constantly, only spiced up by an idiotic own goal in '95 minute.
In overall there have been way more matches with a crap level, than not.

If Australia won, and we lost, then we were out. Hareide announced prior to the game, that we would NOT play according to the result of the other game - He and the players would not be getting information on the match, hence the 0-0 was a very good result.
Looking back, knowing the Peru result, we should have obviously tried to win, but in all honesty I prefer playing Croatia over Argentina, even when Croatia have been quite a lot better.

If they continue playing as they have done so far they will get destroyed by Croatia.
Just saying that only 3-4 teams in the world would have the nerve to attack hard v France, if they can move on with a 0-0.
Peru was most likely the 2nd best team in the group, but did not get the results.
We haven't been destroyed by any team for a year and a half. We have conceeded 3 goals in 10 matches. Why should we, all of a sudden, get mushed by another team just because they have won 3 matches? The last 2-1 against Iceland in overtime.

Did you see the match? It wouldn't have been undeserving if Iceland would have been on 3-0 before Croatia scored the first goal.
Also... Croatias starting XI:
Gent, Bayer Leverkusen, Red Bull Salzburg, Lokomotiv Moscow, Dinamo Kiev, Real Madrid, Fiorentina, Juventus, Real Madrid, Inter, Hoffenheim
Iceland had 2, maybe 3, players that could find way into Croatias team. Gylfi for Badelj, Ragnar Sigurdsson for Caleta-Car and that's it I guess.
It would have been a sensation if Iceland would qualify here, yet they were just 1 goal away, and then they threw away the ball in a late attack, were countered, and a bad keeper effort to lose the game.
Croatia definately wasn't playing well. If they play like that against Denmark, they will not win. But obviously they won't play like that.

As you say, we have had a very strong defense for a while now, but if we want to win more matches (and we do) they need to step up and score more goals. From here there will be no easy games.

Well, we saw in 2016 what a strong defense can do. We do have that piece of X Factor that can trigger a good result in Eriksen. He sparkled very briefly against Peru and Australia and gave us 2 goals. One from a great kick and another from a sharp assist.
If we defend like we do, that's basically all we need - although I do agree, we would love to see another Poland or Ireland match, where we assault the opponent and completely thrash them.
I believe an early assault on Croatia would be a good move. Try to push them back for 15 minutes, and if that doesn't work, get back to nullify them and see if we can get lucky later on. We surely don't want to play too aggressive, as they will kill us on counters if we do. The moment Argentina opened they killed them, same for Iceland basically.

Well, 0-1 for Sweden.
We really need the win now.

Edit: 0-3!! Thats great! Only 1 goal for us now pls?

I'm sorry to say, but it will be SO deserved if Germany doesn't get through.
Piss poor against Mexico, should have gotten X at most against Sweden, and struggle to open South Korea with nothing to fight for.
But they'll find a way...

True, but I don't see us win against Korea.
