Karius must be bribed?
The game kind of died when Salah went injured and woke up when Mane scored 1-1. Then Bale took over.
I know why I dont watch La Liga that much, damn they whine and falls easily. |

Yeah liverpools tactics changed when Salah went off like they didn't know what to do .but you can't do nothing when you got a keeper like that . |

Real were better in the end and deserved it.
Not cool how they decided to deal with Salah though. Ramos knew exactly what he was doing there.

Goalkeepers tend to make mistakes every now and then (i.e. Kahn at the World Cup 2002 Final), but the mistakes made by Loris Karius really crossed the line of stupidity.

I'm just so gutted. Can't complain about our performance too much. But Ramos was and now ever will be one of my most hated athletes on the planet, same for Madrid as a team and how they acted. 3-1 is unfair reflection. Not a fan of how Benzema went about that goal but no excuse for Karius then or at Bale's 2nd. He wasn't too bad for the rest of the game though, and seeing him apologising to the crowd break s my heart.
Still super happy with the run. Feels unbelievably awful now but the future is bright. YNWA

Pretty sure Klopp would be seriously looking for new goalie next season - it appears he can't trust either Karius or Mignolet when it matters. Trouble is his only real option - Alison Becker - is not for sale.

Bale was outstanding. Justified his continued Real existence and his transfer fee in half an hour.
Ramos did a job on Salah. Made sure it was during a fall, when he had an excuse, and speared him. A player about to reach the pinnacle of his career, done over deliberately by a captain who got off scot-free. Shocking, really.
Karius was awful. Made one great save in the first half, but he made the two worst mistakes of his career in the biggest game of his career.
Disclaimer- Most of my posts are me thinking aloud. And most of what I think is rubbish.

Klopp is to blame for this one himself. Mignolet started the season ok and then he lets Karius rotate in every Champions League match. Mignolet's confidence drops and he goes to make a few mistakes. Karius comes in, doesn't do that well either, so Klopp just keeps rotating. Eventually he picks Karius because Klopp arranged his transfer and now they lose their biggest match because of poor goalkeeper management. Rotating field players is ok, but when it comes to the keeper, you need to give him absolute confidence.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Cut out that bullshit confidence talk. This is on nobody but the goalie, how should anyone predict that. That was stuff that would get you fired in 12th division.

I feel sorry for Salah and Karius. One should not be forced out of the season’s most importabt match by a nasty tackle (from a defender I despise, but I’ll keep my hatred on Ramos for myself), and Karius because this will be one difficult result to accept especially after when you don’t meet the requirements to play on a Champions League grand finale. This said, Real are the deserved winners though, and won the game after Bale’s substitution. Liverpool sermed inexistent and harmless after that. Congrats to them and hopefully Ronaldo was just avoiding contact to be ready to win the World Cup. |

As I've said every goalie makes mistakes - no one is perfect (look at Oliver Kahn's 2002 World Cup Final for example). But when you make two silly mistakes in your team's most important match, the main blame would go on him - mainly for the Benzema goal (ask Uelreich how he felt). Which is why Klopp would be looking for new goalie - the main target is Alison Becker from Roma, but they've already said that he's not for sale. Many say that Klopp should take Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid, but he's for me overhyped and overpriced (De Gea and Neuer are way better; and seriously 88 mil.? What gives?) and he'd most likely stay at Atletico now that he won Europa League with them.
Speaking of confidence, IMO Pool's morale droped significantly after Salah was forced to leave injured. Injuries happen, but when your best player and top goalscorer gets hurt in the early stage of the match, the team's morale drops. Pool relied on the trio Salah-Mane-Firmino for the match, but once Salah got hurt everything went nowhere.
Speaking of the trio, imagine what would have been had Coutinho didn't do the childish behaviour and didn't join Barca midway through the season. He was aware that he won't play in CL with Barca so why he joined them anyway? And boy he might felt bad when Roma thrashed Barca at Olimpico and Pool managed to beat Man City in the 1/4 Finals and then overcome Roma in the 1/2 Finals.

Oblak? Alisson? Too expensive, too unavailable. Liverpool should be targetting Jack Butland from the now relegated Stoke! He's been pretty much their best player for a while now, and is comfortably up there for England contention. Put him in a good side with a good defence (bring in another top CB alongside Van Dijk) and Butland will continue to get better.

Of course the two goals are on Karius, but Klopp created an unhealthy atmosphere this year. Both Mignolet and Karius are better keepers than what they've shown this year, and I blame Klopp for that.
Salah out is very disappointing for himself, Liverpool and for Egypt. Ramos is really such a dick. I've gone from loving Real in the Zidane-FIgo era to completely hating them because of players like Ramos and Pepe.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

You want Liverpool to be relagated? Is that what you want? You're having a laugh.
Nick Pope from Burnley would be better option. Or Kasper Schmeichel from Leicester, but not someone who got his team relagated and not better than Joe Hart - the epitome of bad golies

After Salahs injury Real was the better team and I have huge respect for players like Kroos even Varane.
But a guy like Sergio Ramos I really dont like him.
Even if the foul (well accoriding to ref not even a foul) against Salah did not look very dirty at first it is not an accident that it was just Ramos who injured him... An Judo expert in Sweden even said that Ramos would be DSQ in the sport due to dangers move.
Then Salah walked out of the pitch that pig Ramos talks with the Ass Ref and laughs when Salah cries and walks down the stairs, that does not look nice.
Two mins before that 1-0 goals Sergio Ramos after a corner elbows Karius in his head with the ball a few meter away from them.
He plays dirty against his opponents but falling himself so damn easily.
One time against Mane when Mane almost did not touch him he flies away like he got Kronwalled.
But worst part is that he is quite a good player...But why I like Barca more then Real is most likely comparing Reals captain Ramos and Barcas previews captain Puyol such a genleman.
Sorry about this post, behaving like a whining bitch |

I really hope Karius stays #1 and manages to recover from this even though it will be tough as hell. He looked like a very strong goalkeeper after finally getting the number 1 spot form Mignolet. Supporters tend to forget that footballers are people too and anybody can have a bad day. Sadly, Karius' was in the most crucial game of the season.
I believe Klopp will know what the right decision about this will be and keep growing the team as a family.

Well if you ask a Liverpool fan and say that Karius made a mistake in a football game, they wouldn't be surprised. It just shows the level that he and Mignolet are at - they are not good enough to be at Liverpool, you can't blame Klopp for them being shit. What you can blame him for is sticking by these hopeless waste of spaces all the while pissing away money and now trophies.
Klopp has been rather suspect in the transfer market anyway, (I'm talking about the balance of the team and sticking by sub-par defenders/goalkeepers) and its culminated in the loss of a very winnable final here. Of course, we know what should be on the top of Klopp's transfer wish list - but it should have been a situation that was rectified 2 years ago, so I'm not too sympathetic...

Well I am a Liverpool supporter and I was surprised by the mistakes Karius. Very much so. Because he has done very well since he became the regular goalkeeper for the team. Is he at the level of a top 6 goalkeeper in the EPL? Probably not YET. But he isn't what you are implying.
Coming to what you said about Klopp. I don't know if you support Liverpool, and by the tone of your comment, it wouldn't seem so. Klopp took over at a time when the team had reached a very low point. That Suarez Sturridge season had raised everyone's hopes but then Suarez's departure and the ridiculous transfer policies meant a huge rebuild job. Klopp took over that team, and like he mentioned in his first ever interview, turned us doubters into believers. He took Liverpool to two finals that year, with a team built by someone else.
At the start of this season, no one gave a chance to Liverpool to do anything in Europe. So much so that people were genuinely concerned having drawn Hoffenheim in the playoff! From there to here, the team have had European teams running scared. Scoring five aggregate goals against each knockout opponent barring the final is no joke. Even Madrid have not done it.
The team did not have the depth to compete against the Manchester clubs for sure in the EPL. But every one of Klopp's signings - Mane, Salah, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Van Dijk, have been successful. So please don't give me this poor in the transfer market argument. Liverpool sold Coutinho and played better for the second half of the season. For all the abuse he has received, Lovren kept Ronaldo in his pocket yesterday. So no, I'm not having any of this nonsense.
Last night, Madrid were the better team, but only after Salah went off, and much abetted by a shocking goalkeeping performance. But from when he took over to now, Jurgen Klopp has been Liverpool's best signing. I don't think there is a better manager in world football at the moment than him to suit the club.
