Boy, if Froome somehow manages to defend his Salbutamol case and comes away with no sanction and a clearence from the UCI/WADA/CAS this will go down as one of the best ranged attacks ever!
But that's a lot of if to get through.
And at least no-ones still calling Yates a doper Pfft

Yes, because certainly we've never seen a doper fall apart and absolutely get destroyed on a bad day.

I literally don't know what happened today. Superb stage design for sure but just terrible to know we won't have a proper Giro winner after his results are voided.

Edit: And this Giro overall definitely has not been a token for clean cycling, that's for sure. And I'm not just talking about Froome or Yates. Look at fricking Bilbao. 28 years old. Best result before this year was winning a freaking Tour of Turkey stage from a break. Now he's 7th overall. It just keeps getting weirder.

Well you Gotta be a retard if you thought that a Bilbao wouldnt be capable of such GC results. He always had that potential, there was almost no doubt.

Yeah, he had that potential when he was a future great in PCM 11. he's 28 fricking years old now. 28 year old cyclists don't have the potential to became GC contenders after absolutely no results naturally. If Romain Sicard got a top 5 at the tour would that be unsuspicious since he had potential?

Guys, dont throw names and all, in the end lets face the reality that absolute majority of all GT riders are doped, because it is not in normal human possibilities to do such a things for three weeks. It only matters who is better at it and who is more cocky to slap you with it in your face...

The recovery required in a GT does make it the least believable bit of cycling.

Bit of lateral thought:
- human beings have a habit of cheating when the stakes are high
- the history of all elite sport has demonstrated this time and again
- it is therefore likely that some are cheating during this Giro
- after nearly 3 weeks of a particularly hard raced edition one rider just put 3 minutes into the rest of the field while being in the wind for 80km
- this could be a remarkable feat of human endeavour succeeding against all odds or perhaps not, we can all decide...

To be clear it's not just about one individual, nothing is proven and I continue to hope for some, though most of these hopes lie in one day racing, you never know. Hope springs eternal.

Well, some did become GC contenders at the age of 40, so I find this progression absolutely normal. Pfft

On the minimal plus side of the Mitchelton collapse, Nieve and Kreuziger are gonna have some serious fun in this break!
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

I understand the argument of Carapaz and MAL not contending for the Maglia Rosa, but to wheelsuck Dumo and Pinot for 80 km? Really?. They get a free ride while dropping a main competitor in Pozzovivo, and then they have the audacity to attack on the last climb which results in nothing. If they would've contibuted after Finestre they could of competed for the stage win with the gap only being 40 seconds. Again I understand their "reasons", but I still think it's a poor display from the two riders. Hopefully the peleton will remember it.

Actually I find it quite refreshing to see an actual battle for the youth jersey so I don't mind that MAL and Carapaz mainly ride against each other and focus their energy on that battle.
